Help - Automations Using automations or automod to block badly titled posts

Hi! One of the subs I run has an issue with people leaving out information in post titles, is there a regex code for automations that can block if someone puts only specific phrases with no other information but if it has additional words it would be allowed. I debated putting a block via number of characters but some people will frequently put "please help me find this!" which tells you nothing and some will put "ISO [specific thing]" where the prior should be removed but wouldn't hit and the later will hit but shouldn't be removed. I have a list of all repeat versions of "help me!" but blocking just "help me!" or the others isn't then allowed if say someone writes "help me find [specific thing]"

I would rather use automations over automod so they can update the title right then and there and not have a back and forth but if automod is the only way that is fine as well.

Is there any way to do this? Thank you

You can use automations, sure. But this is r/automoderator so here's the code we use in our subreddit, so you can inspire yourself to use regex to try to cover combinations of titles like us:

``` type: submission title (regex, includes): ["(is (this |it )a (new )?scam)|(is this (website|site|dating site|shop|eshop|store|seller|vendor|agency|possibly) (a scam|legit))|(am i (being|getting) scammed)|((did )?(i|my friend|my mom|my dad|my mother|my father|my sister|my brother|my aunt|my uncle|my grandpa|my grampa|my grandfather|my grandma|my grandmother|my husband|my wife|my spouse|my so|my partner|my boyfriend|my bf|my bff|my girl|my girlfriend|my gf) (get |got )scammed)|(what (type|kind) of scam)|(this is a scam)|(how (exactly )?does it work)|(what (is |was )going on here)|(what (can |should )I do)"] action: filter action_reason: "Low effort title? [{{match}}]" message_subject: "Post queued for moderation - Rule 5 (a low effort title)" message: | /u/{{author}} - Your post has been queued for moderation because our bot detected a low effort title. Be patient until it's reviewed by a moderator. While you wait, we suggest you thoroughly read the following guideline: How to submit a good post to r/scams, where we describe what a good title is for us.
    As you can see in that guideline, we want posts to have a good title because Google loves Reddit. This post may be about you asking for help, it may also be you warning you about a new scam. Whatever the case may be, this post will help hundreds of other people if it's searchable. We want to make sure your title summarizes the scam being described.
    If you agree that your post doesn't have a good title, delete the post yourself, and post again. If this post is about a scam website (or a potential scam website), make sure your new post contains the website address in the title (not in the post). Unfortunately post titles aren't editable, so you'll have to post again if that's the case.
    This action was applied to this [{{kind}}]({{permalink}}). Questions about subreddit rules? Send us a modmail [clicking here](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose/?to=%2Fr%2Fscams&subject=Post%20queued%20for%20moderation%20-%20Rule%205%20%28a%20low%20effort%20title%29). **Don't reply to this message because we won't receive it!**
The regex above covers 264 different combinations of words. I had Gemini help me do a quick list of all of them, so you can go back to the code and see how it works:
  • is this a scam
  • is it a scam
