A lady hit my car in a parking lot, and I’m trying to figure out roughly how much the damage would cost to repair. I’d rather avoid going through insurance if possible, mainly to save her the hassle and avoid the whole insurance process.

hello, I have a 23 GMC terrain and just noticed this yesterday and took it to a couple body shops and they’re starting to see it’s starting to do it on the other side. How much am I looking at and what’s the best way for them to fix it? Thank you.

Hey everyone, Looking for some honest input on whether my 2007 Saturn Vue (gas, automatic) is worth repairing or if I should just scrap or part it out.
It was hit by a drunk driver before I owned my current place, and it has been sitting ever since. I haven’t driven it since the accident, so I’m unsure of all the issues. I finally started taking things apart to assess damage and noticed some concerning structural issues.
Known damage:
Radiator is completely smashed and needs replacement.
The front subframe has cracks on both sides near the front.
Metal around the mounting points looks stressed/possibly bent.
Unsure whether the main frame/unibody is bent, but the impact was frontal enough that I’m worried about structural integrity.
Car has been sitting unused for a while, so there may be additional issues (fluids, hoses, suspension, etc).
What I’m trying to figure out:
Does this look like frame or structural damage that makes the car unsafe to fix?
Is welding or reinforcing the cracked areas feasible & safe for daily driving?
If repairs are possible, what would be the most cost-effective route? (I can do some work myself, but I may need a welder.)
At what point is this financially not worth saving vs. scrapping/parting it out?
My goals:
Ideally I'd like to fix it and make it road-worthy again if it's safe and affordable.
If it’s a lost cause, I’d rather cut my losses and scrap it than sink money into a bad project.
Photos attached—let me know what else I should photograph for a better assessment.
Any advice is appreciated. I just want to get a realistic sense of whether this Vue is worth saving or if I should walk away.
Thanks!

I was at work when I was informed by another person that my car was backed into. Rough estimate?

Has anyone used their post 9/11 GI bill for courses on collision estimating?

Got into a bit of a fender bender and before I take the car to an auto body shop for an estimate I wanted to see what estimates I could get on here to get a good idea of what I could be looking at money wise.

Did you know that many shops unintentionally miss out on labor charges for work they’ve already performed? Without a detailed estimate, it’s easy to overlook billable items like additional repairs, materials, or even standard rates for specific tasks.
Professional estimates are more than just a breakdown of costs—they ensure accuracy and help you capture all legitimate charges for the work you complete.
If you’re unsure about what you might be missing, feel free to ask questions or seek advice to maximize your returns and streamline your processes
