Broadcast Spec Question
Im giving stereo masters to the editor at broadcast spec, but where it will be broadcast lists providing it as 1: LT 2: RT 3: Unused (silence) 4: Unused (silence) 5: Unused (silence)
Should I be sending it broken up like that to the editor as an OMF? Is that standard practise?
I’m asking here so I don’t look quite as green…
Thanks

Unfortunately you may need to indeed do that full level of hand-holding. I've had clients that literally need me to create every MOS channel for them with precise duration because they can't be bothered. As much as it should be patently obvious for them to handle it, never underestimate the need to do it ALL.

I would just give them the LtRt. Sometimes specs require the onliner to put different mixes like an m&e on 3 and 4 then maybe different stems on the other channels but it looks like they're not needed

if you mixed in stereo, you send the stereo master
it's up to the finisher to prep the finals
OMF won't help, they are likely expecting a multichannel WAV
