With AI automating basic tasks and eliminating some entry-level jobs, how would your opinion of AI change if those productivity gains led to a shorter workweek without a reduction in pay?

We could have had a shorter work week without pay reduction before AI took over and we would have been fine.

It won't. Like always, only the wealthy will be the winners while they convince the rest of us that we're winning too.

Hah, everyone knows the reward for doing work is receiving more work.

But yes a mentality shift would be significantly more motivational and productive if you could share the net gains of saving 38 hours of work per week into some sort of 20 hour work week.

That would be great, honestly i think we need to bring ai to heavy labor jobs. If we can automate the bottom teir and provide systems for people to get trained or schooling for higher tier jobs then a shorter work week without reduction in pay would be great. More time for creativity, family, social life. And a happy worker produces better work, so imo please

I would love it. Unfortunately, the oligarchs will never let this happen.
