Disinformation about Iraq and Palestine history, knowingly or not, will especially result in a ban. This repeats a previous mod post linked in the body text. These two states are the target of more false propaganda and disinfo than any other in the MENA, if not the world.

Fake news and trolling have never been allowed, but for years, Iraq and Palestine have been the target of more propaganda and lies about their history and present state than almost any other in the world and on this subreddit, where lots of paid bots from countries like Israel, Iran, and others have swarmed for years. This is why these two states are called out in particular.

If you don't know what you're talking about, don't say it. Don't think you're smart by saying often repeated but long debunked lies and propaganda used to justify the killing of millions of civilians. You're likely wrong, and all you're achieving is support for some of the worst killings and destruction of the last century whether or not you realize it. Many of you say how much you hate US and Israeli policies and actions, but by repeating their lies, you become their biggest supporters.

Society Mizrachim/Temanim( Arab Jews ). How does it feel to know that it serves mightily in the interests of the Ashkenazi elite that you remain down afoot and dumb and stupid? Since if there is ever a Mizarchi uprising. This will spell the end of the Ashkenazi hold on Isreal ?

Society Try to survive by my life

• Upvotes

I am a woman in my late twenties living in Sudan. I have not been able to complete my university education because of the ongoing war, and I am currently unemployed.

I have tried to find work several times, but the wages I could earn were so low that they were barely enough to buy a single meal. My family consists of six people, and sometimes, even when we combine everything we earn, we can barely afford one meal a day.

My father is in his late seventies and suffers from chronic illnesses, while my mother is in her sixties. It is heartbreaking to watch them struggle with their health while I am unable to provide them with the food and medical care they need. I also have younger siblings who depend on our family.

Before the war, we lived comfortably. My father spent his entire life building a stable life for our family, but the war took away so much of what he had worked for. Now, we struggle to meet even our most basic needs. We face shortages of food, water, and electricity, and we cannot afford the medical treatment our family needs.

I feel as though my life has been put on hold. I watch my youth pass by while I struggle to find a way to help my family and continue my education. The situation has taken a devastating toll on my mental health, and I have attempted to end my life more than once because of the despair I have experienced.

I am reaching out because I urgently need financial assistance to help my family afford food, essential daily necessities, and medical care for my parents. Any financial contribution, no matter how small, could help us meet some of our immediate needs.

I am also seeking a fully funded scholarship or another legitimate educational opportunity that would allow me to complete my university studies abroad and eventually build a more stable future for myself and my family.

I currently do not have a bank account, so I would appreciate information about safe and legitimate ways to receive financial assistance while living in Sudan. I am not asking anyone to share sensitive personal documents publicly, and I would want any assistance arrangement to protect my privacy and safety.

I am not looking for luxury. I am asking for a chance to meet my family's basic needs, help my sick parents, protect my younger siblings from hunger, and continue my education despite the devastating circumstances we are facing.

If you are able to offer financial assistance, know of a legitimate organization that helps families in Sudan, or can point me toward a reliable way to receive support, I would sincerely appreciate your help.

📜History Foreigner to the middle east with questions about traditional medicinal herbs.

I am a person with chronic headaches who happens to be the rare case that responds to herbs stopping my head pain. My American neurologist approves of this "conservative approach".

I've tried herbs from China, India, Europe, and they all work in their own unique way.

So I get to have a choice in what I prefer. Currently I use feverfew extract.

So I'm curious what do you guys use? I would love to try one day.

I get hot in the head easily so I avoid things like ginger. Cannabis makes my pain worse it's considered heating in Ayurveda interestingly and it doesn't work for me.

Chinese Chrysanthemum (yellow) definitely I like. Head cooling headache help.

I tried gotu kola for a month very few times I felt some analytical boost but it was rare. Supposedly a cognition herb. Not bad but not soothing. More for circulation.

Thoughts? Masters' programs for international students in the ME?

Hi,

I'm an american student who is majoring in history. I've always wanted to study abroad/pursue graduate studies in either Spain, the UK, or the Middle East. Tuition is also pricey here (~13-20k), and I've heard in a few countries it's less than that. Things are somewhat unstable in my field due to the current administration (e.g., for a few months last year, museums and other institutions were unsure how many staff they could keep or if they could actually get enough funding to keep all their staff). Funding freezes r very fun! I don't know much Arabic, very minimal. I'm muslim and people assume I must speak Arabic but like not really lol.

Do y'all have any recommendations for universities that offer masters programs? I'd prefer it to be a Muslim country and would be open to studying languages (e.g., Turkish) to be able to learn the culture better and show respect for the country I'm living in. Please only suggest universities that are relatively affordable with not outrageous living prices (for example the UAE is wayy out of my budget). I don't care which country, as long as the university is accredited/is trustworthy, the town/city is relatively affordable for student budgets, and it offers history-affiliated programs.

I'm doing research but it can be tricky figuring out the cost for graduate programs for international students versus the fees they charge for local students. Thank you so much!

🏛️Politics DSA's position is consistent, not only with the historical Palestinian vision for liberation, but also with its own democratic platform and with basic human decency

In an interview with The New Yorker, Democratic Socialists of America national co-chair Megan Romer stated that DSA supported a free Palestine, meaning the establishment of a single state.

DSA's position is consistent, not only with the historical Palestinian vision for liberation, but also with its own democratic platform and with basic human decency.

The One Democratic State Initiative welcomes this decision and calls on all democratic organizations worldwide to also support the establishment of a democratic state instead of a settler one in Palestine.

🏛️Politics School project surrounding the Middle East

Hello!

I am a high-school student and I was assigned a project in English class to talk about gender inequality in a certain region, I chose the Middle East to talk about as I was born in Syria. So far I have only seen perspectives saying the Middle East has a tendency to be sexist, but I also need the other side of the perspective on how the Middle East can be relatively equal or feminist. Could anyone write a message on their perspective on the Middle East's feminism and how you might think that calling the Middle East sexist can be seen as unfair?

Speak your mind! Give me your full opinion on it and leave no details. If you'd like to stay anonymous in my essay, please mention that, I'll make sure to fulfill your wishes.

Thank you.

Change My View Two questions for the Chinese regime regarding the Uyghur issue

The Chinese regime initially denied the existence of the camps, but later acknowledged them (under the guise of "vocational training centers").

My question is this: If these are harmless training centers, why did you deny their existence? Why didn't you admit it from the start?

And why is it impossible for a journalist to enter these harmless training centers(!) to conduct completely independent research?

By the way, the Chinese regime's denial is understandable from a pragmatic standpoint. BUT how can Muslims turn a blind eye to an oppressed region for the sake of a regime with which we have absolutely no spiritual connection?!

🏛️Politics Is MBS the biggest failure in the world?

In 2015 to protect his coup MBS launches an invasion of Yemen. Ending the statement of King Faisal which was Saudi Arabia would never interfere in Yemen. This war has been a failure.

MBS then launches Vision 2030 with the cube, the line etc. All of those are being closed and phased out after the foreigners he hired were cooking the books because they knew it was impossible to do so. Another failure.

MBS then had the idea of turning Saudi Arabia into a attractive sports venue paying rich millionaires like Cristiano Ronaldo and his cronies of footballers. Tens of millions more than any sane investor would to bring them to Saudi Arabia. After the restart of the Yemen war which MBS restarted know Sports events are hesitant in choosing Saudi Arabia. Another failure.

Saudi Arabia spends very large amounts of defense but doesn't want a strong military to avoid a coup. All those billions being spent yearly and attacks from Yemen can't be stopped. Another failure.

Will MBS be the King of Saudi Arabia in the future or will he be removed the same way he came in via a palace coup ?

🏛️Politics Most Palestine hating people

Who are in your opinion the most Palestine hating people? If you ask me. The Czechs. I read and heard horrible comments about Palestinians from Czechs. Really horrendous. Because of that I don't see the Czech people that positive. Germans are the same as them. Surprisingly many Poles are pro Palestine.

Around 96% of Azerbaijans population identifies as Muslim, yet the government treats public expressions of Islam like a problem that needs to be stamped out.

They preach religious freedom while punishing people for practising their faith. How the hell can you claim to defend freedom while dictating what women can wear? The hypocrisy is staggering
