So I have noticed this in my wife mostly regarding the dress choices. She criticises other women dress choices " how revealing she is wearing" and she ends up wearing similar fashion. I was like wtf and I have not

🛑 Answers From Men Only 🛑 What do men actually think of receiving their painted portrait from their girlfriend/wife?

Is it romantic or does it cross into overwhelming territory for you?

Say if your partner painted a portrait of you rather than say 'I love you' often, would that be okay with you? Would that be too intense? Would you see it as a bother?

Had to rewrite my question because it was flagged.

Why do guy friends act differently in text, irl, and in group settings?

I’m a girl and me and my friends have noticed one of our guy friend that acts insanely different in text, irl, and in group settings.

He’ll be pretty chill over text during the day, acts super super sweet at 1-2AM, is a pretty caring guy to be around in real life (one on one or small group), but when it’s a mixed gender group, there’s a complete switch up and ignores us, is dismissive, or just has a different vibe.

Why is that?

Weird Question How do you deal with gas in relationships?

I usually post more serious stuff but I’ve been single for a couple of years and used to…well…farting whenever I want. I date a lot, usually have 1-2 girls sleep over per week and subconsciously tense up, even while sleeping, and my stomach ends up bloated and hurts sometimes. I’ve taken a variety of pills but nothing really works. I can manage the 12 hour meet ups but can’t imagine living with someone in the future and just letting them rip lol

Men with long hair, how did you get through the awkward stages of growing your hair out?

It’s been a few months since my 12mm buzz and I’m already getting very self conscious about how my hair looks. I’ve grown my hair out a few times but I’ve always just cut it off when it started looking really bad. How did you get through these phases and how did you keep your hair looking good while you grew it out?

🛑 Answers From Men Only 🛑 What’s something your wife/gf does that you couldn’t imagine not having?

I wanted to know this and put it on a poll but then one answer got spammed and the research portion ended up not working. I want to know something that she does around the house that you would miss not having to do, like laundry, dishes, or cooking (intimacy is another I will count). No answers that say “id just miss her” are helpful, I need answers that include actual things she does around the house that count as labor. Thank you! <3

What is your opinion on father that only tough on son?

Like sometimes when im struggling mentally, he kinda just keeping it real with me. He said things that are hurtful at the moment but overtime, he ended up being the right one. It made me realize how stupid i was at the moment…especially as a man, i came to realize hurtful words are needed for growth.

For the NFL fans: Do you think the quality of play would be better, worse, or the same if they went to "Ironman" rules?

For those who may not know, Ironman football rules exist for smaller school teams who do not have enough players. As a result, there is no offensive team, defensive team or special teams. The players have to play both offense and defense as well as special teams.

I would argue that playing under those rules requires greater athleticism and physical conditioning. However, you would never be able to have specialist players.

What do you think?

Any other men get a shy bladder in the bathroom?

Context, 35. Has happened a couple times in life; high school, end of college, and now recently. No reason why as far as I know, no bad experiences. Usually lasts awhile before going away.

Not even just at the urinal either, I could be in a stall and same issue.

Weird Question Why does sometimes men stay soft ish during sex?

This happened with two different people, one person I saw twice and it was the same?

I just assumed it was being a sex addict? But this other one hadn't had sex in a year or more. Like I don't doubt they weren't turned on, they wanted to do it and progressed it.

And then what am I excepted to do with it? They end up just trynna shove it in? Like I guess I'll grind on it? But... I'm feeling nothing? And it always leaves my vagina feels raw cause they just be grinding on it?

I don't want to embarrass them, so I assume that's what an erection is for them? Is that true?

Edit: I'm being very gentle and caring in my post and time with these two men, idk why ya'll are attacking me

What’s it like moving away and starting fresh ?

I have recently been looking at moving away from my home town to explore some new career opportunities. Higher pay and more options etc. And was hoping to get this subs opinion.

I have lived in my hometown for my entire life and went to university here. It’s a smaller mid size city of 800,000 where everyone pretty much knows everyone or is connected in some way.

I was hoping to get the subs thoughts and experiences on moving to a new city with no connections. Some people I speak with claim it’s the greatest feeling moving somewhere and starting fresh. Others spoke of it being very lonely.

Looking back….

Are you happy with your choice ?
Did you regret it?
Was it tough trying to build a new social circle?

I would be moving from a mid size Canadian city to potentially some larger US cities. Excluding metropolises like NYC etc.

Early 30s with a partner.

Weird Question How do you guys build your confrontational skills?

I 20M never learned how to stand up for myself in public, and now find it difficult to do so. Growing up, My mother was pretty confrontational when it came to what she thought was right. She wouldn’t care about the risks and stand up for herself and others. But for some reason I used to find that embarrassing and always asked my mother to cool it. And I think due to such repeated moments I have believed that confrontations will always end up as embarrassing. I never had a problem with this tho because I don’t have a big friend group, I order food online mostly, so I think I have subconsciously eliminated any possibility of it. I am confident in myself, I go to the gym and have decent above average strength. So it’s not that I am scared, but just that I have a weird relationship with it.
For example- my gf told me some guy cussed at her in a vc, she expected me to atleast ask her- “who was it?” Or “that I will talk to him”, and I knew that but the fear of embarrassment stopped me from even offering this. I was worried about what if I lose in the confrontation, I will be embarrassed in front of others, my gf, etc.
A similar thing with us in a cafe, she found a nail in her food, and I just asked her to throw the food away, and offered to buy another plate or to eat somewhere else, but even I wanted to stand up about it to the owner or waiter.

how did you get the stench out of your feet?

My boyfriend has often very stinky feet and even new shoes get smelly pretty fast. He himself suffers moderately from this (for example, he has a pair of new shoes he only wears to see his physical therapist so that when he removes the shoes for the appointment there won't be stench). He washes/scrubs his feet when he showers.

I think he puts it off as a "man thing" and hasn't really looked into it himself. I now thought I'd post here and see if some of you men have had the same problem and found a solution that works well for you?

TIA :)

How do I human? How can I get others to respect me even though I suck at everything?

I’m a 25M who works remotely as a UI designer. Over the past three years, I’ve tried to improve myself by going to the gym, joining a public speaking club, and trying different hobbies. However, I’ve realized I’m not particularly good at anything outside my job, and I don’t want my entire identity to revolve around design, especially since creative work is largely an individual activity. I’ve tried various hobbies, but I struggle with most of them. I also have learning disabilities that make things like board games difficult, and I’ve struggled academically my whole life, leaving me feeling unintelligent.

For example, I’ve played badminton for over two years at a badminton club, but compared to the other players, I’m honestly terrible. Despite loving badminton, i’m not sure if i should just quit and leave the badminton club. The other people there probably see me as a lower tier individual. I analyze how they treat me, and i feel like they respect me less than they did before. But i also struggle with rejection sensitivity, so i’m not sure whether I’m misinterpreting stuff.

I’ve never had a girlfriend, and I wonder whether part of the reason is that I haven’t found anything I’m genuinely good at outside work. I feel that becoming skilled at something would naturally make me more confident, competent, and comfortable in social settings, which could help women see me as an attractive, masculine man. Instead, I feel like I’m constantly passing time doing things I’m bad at, which makes me appear less confident and potentially leads people, including women, to dismiss me or treat me as though they’re above me. I sometimes feel lower in the social hierarchy, although my low self-esteem and rejection sensitivity make me question whether I’m misinterpreting people’s behavior. I desperately want at least one social outlet where I feel competent, respected, and on equal footing with others, where I can build genuine friendships, develop an identity outside my career, and hopefully improve my dating life. How can I find something to excel at and build a more fulfilling social life when I’ve struggled to feel good at anything throughout my life?

Existential post How do you deal with constant uncertainty?

For the last few years since my parents passed away, I’ve been dealing with uncertainty about all aspects of my life.

I’m the type of person that will inevitably create his own stress, and for the last few days it’s been consuming me. I’m starting to see slivers of gray hair in my late 20s.

I go to therapy. I take Wellbutrin.

I feel like the world is slowly caving in on me and I’m going to be crushed.

My company is being acquired, and layoffs are a staggering possibility.

My wife and I just closed on a house, and are cleaning the other to put on the market but it slowing down makes me worried about two house payments.

I’m quite literally drowning in debt from a previous divorce, court costs, etc.

My kids are growing up and I feel like
I’m not the father I should be for them.

I try to look back and acknowledge I’ve made it through every hard thing I’ve had to deal with in the past, but this feeling of impending doom keeps coming back and putting a strain on not just my life, but my relationships with my wife, kids, and friends.

How do you guys handle these intense times of uncertainty?
