Lost..
I’m a 30 year-old construction project manager with about 5 years of experience in the construction industry. For a long time, I’ve been interested in pursuing a career with either the FBI or ATF, but my dad wasn’t too happy about that career choice when I was younger.
Now, I’m at a point where I’m getting tired of the constant headaches, politics, and BS that come with working in construction. I’ve been thinking seriously about making a career change and finally pursuing something I’ve always wanted to do.
I’m just not sure whether making this kind of transition at 30 is a realistic move. I’d appreciate any advice.

Some of the cops replying so far have never worked construction.
I’ve done both and…it’s not even comparable. Construction workers are some whiny little bitches for being big tough guys. It was miserable.

Even with them there’s bs 😂 I guess it’s just the messiness and how unorganized it gets

If you don’t want those issues don’t be a cop. I say get a job as an electrician, hvac, or plumber.

I thought that it was old too, but I am 33 years old and in the process right now. I learned there people in their 40s pursuing law enforcement! Now is the time! I think 30s are the best age bc you have life experience and are more mature.

The headaches, politics and BS exist with any career so you might as well pursue what you think you actually wanna do 🤷🏻♂️
