Switch games with easy language?
I'm learning Spanish as a BEGINNER beginner, so I thought I'd learn Spanish as I did with English, with videogames.
I booted up Stardew Valley and I wanted to cry. It's too high of a level for me right now, so my question is: does anyone know a game that has simpler language in it?

Do delayed video games that move their release due to competition continue development?

White Whale How have Souls games changed the way you deal with failure?
Before playing Souls games, I used to get frustrated pretty easily whenever something was difficult. But after dying to the same boss over and over and eventually beating it, I started to see failure differently.
Did playing games like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, or Bloodborne change how you handle challenges outside of gaming? I'm curious to hear how they've affected other people's mindset or perspective on life.

Game reviewers: How are games assigned to you?
Hey everyone!
I wanted to ask a question to those who write game reviews for any outlet (no need to name names).
I've been curious about how game reviews work for a while now, and a question came to mind: When you're given a game to review, is it usually based on your personal preferences and interests, or are games just randomly assigned to you?
If there's anything else you can share about the process without getting yourself into trouble, I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks a lot!

No PlayStation on pc
I don’t know if this is the proper place to ask or where that be but here’s my confusion with the controversy regarding it , I don’t remember where I’ve heard it, but wasn’t there like a very high chance that steam would be coming to and be able to run on an X box main console allowing you to also play PlayStation games and that was why PlayStation stopped porting to pc to prevent from multiple of their titles being played on an x box. Or where such rumors always unfounded and proberly not true.
Thank you for reading and answering.

Have video games turned anyone else into a bit of a history nerd?
I've always had a soft spot for games set in some real period of history, even when they play it pretty loose when it comes to accuracy (Assassin's Creed and stuff like that). When the game is good, I can't help but go and read up on the actual history afterwards.
And it didn’t have to be a setting or period I already had interest in. Westerns for example were my dads thing, he tried to get me to watch western movies with him and I tried but they were just boring to me. Then Red Dead Redemption came out and much to my dads joy I actually got interested in that stuff (I probably know more about the history than he does now, he knows the movies), and after RDR2 it basically became my favorite setting and still is. I’m playing Blood West right now (immersive sim and great game btw) and I can’t wait for The Dark West to come out. It’s an ARPG with a mix of western and occult themes which is a dream combination for me.
I did this as a kid too. Age of Empires 2 was probably my first real history teacher, because the campaigns were basically little lessons with a voiceover. Joan of Arc, Saladin, William Wallace were all familiar to me from AoE 2 before they ever came up in school, and Medal of Honor: Allied Assault taught me a lot about WW2 (probably more than school did). So I was always a bit ahead in history class, but only for the stuff that was in the games I played. If every subject in school had video games covering the lessons I think I would have done way better, my history teachers loved me hahahah.
Is anyone else like this? I don’t know if most people playing historic games actually even pay attention to the setting/story or if it's more just like a “theme” or “flavor” for them. I love actually learning about the real stuff and then seeing it ingame.

If you had to choose a video game to live in, which one would you pick?

What game had you emotionally attached to its characters?
Some games are fun to play, but others make you genuinely care about the characters and their stories.
Which game did that for you, and what made it so special? 👀

The evil within 1 and 2 on steam, mods that unlock preorders? and mods that bring the evil within 1 microsoft store version exclusive features on steam?
For the first question, the two games have preorders that can't be bought separately(just like many games sadly).
And for the second question, microsoft store version of the evil within 1 has exclusive features including the posibility to run for at most 5 seconds instead of 3 seconds(and of course if you upgrade the stamina to the max, you can run at most 12 seconds instead of 10 seconds).

What’s a game you wish you could experience for the first time again?
For me, the best games are the ones that leave you thinking about them even after you stop playing.
I'm curious what's one game you wish you could erase from your memory just so you could experience it all over again for the first time?
And what made it so special for you? 🎮
