Is working at McDonald’s as bad as people here say?

I work in fast food also but not in McDonald’s. I hear nothing but horror stories from workers there, specifically about managers. Are these just unlucky people or is management across the company like this?

Mcdo to 7/11????

Heyyyyy new here pero im currently working at McDonald's before I was earning like 10-12k per month thats like 5k or 6k per 14 days, depending on how often I get over time. Rn we have a new branch manager and everything changed, I only earn barely 4k now since they limited how often I can work per week and over time so I was thinking of transferring to a different place, ask ko lng pano yung work environment sa 7/11 and if 8 hours yung shift with flexible schedule? Still a student here pero 3rd na ako sa malapit na ako matapos so yehhh just wondering

McDonald's Discussion I don’t want to work here

I started working at McDonalds for about a month and honestly I hate it! I’m 23 with an EMT state license. I joined the military, but something happened to which I was honorably discharged and my NREMT license expired! The McDonalds I work at only pays me 12.50 and only does part time, so I’m making only $800 monthly! I have bills to pay! I’m trying to save up some money so I can recertify my NREMT license which will be half my paycheck! I told myself I would never work fast food again because I hate using that damn headset. My throat is aching badly! I’ve been applying to other jobs so hopefully I will hear back from them! I really want to quit, but I have responsibilities!

Are all McDonald's managers assholes? (USA)

I've only worked at McDonald's for 8 months but I've never been so stressed out. I understand it's a fast paced environment but when your managers are assholes for no reason to make it so much worse. We were in the middle of a rush, and I was trying to listen to what my managers was telling me, and she asked me " why are you looking at me like you don't understand? Are you freaking slow?" And she'll get an attitude with the customers too, and one day one of the customers snapped and said " you should give that girl a promotion because she's doing your whole job, and your sitting there yelling at everyone, maybe treat your employees better if you don't want to do your own job." I've never seen my manager so pissed. She had to take a walk.

What should I do better to make me more approachable when it comes to job searching?

I had 2 in-person interviews and 2-3 rejections.

I don’t know what I am doing wrong. I never had a job before and I really want to work and learn.

I don’t know if it’s my fault that I am getting rejected or the hours I offer as I have a limited schedule to the fact that I have to watch my sister when my mom is at work, but I am willing to work with people and find a solution just to get a job.

General Discussion Current Taco Case Employee: AMA

Self explanatory, I would say. I work at Taco Casa, the Texas based fast food chain that keeps their menu from the 70's still today. (Essentially, what Taco Bell used to be.) I've settled permanently to a position in the drive through, but I've done everything else there is to be done that's not a management duty. Ask me anything related to the job!

McDonald's Question What can i say instead of “is there anything else I can get for you?”

Hello! I’ve recently started working at mcdonalds, and for some reason at the drive thru or the front counter, our managers won’t let us say “is there anything else” or anything like that. When I was getting trained, they told me to say “is everything right for you on the screen” when I’m at the drive thru, but that feels really unnatural. What else can I say?

First job

The store manager at a nearby Dunkin said she’ll give me a chance. But I gotta have an interview with the District manager for the final say. She said abt Mon-Tuesday. To hear anything for the interview or final say. Monday? Nothing. Tuesday? So far ? Nothing. McDonald’s pulled this and ghosted me for a week. I was told to call a day later…but I was also told it’s pushy but also told it shows initiative

cancelled dunkin interview and now trying to reapply

sooo about a month ago I applied to this dunkin location super close to my house and then cancelled bc I thought I was getting another job offer (not dunkin related) but it fell through. Now I want to apply to the same job, but on the higherme portal it says that I was not selected for that job bc I cancelled the interview and will not let me reapply. Is it possible to reapply or should I just cut my losses and look at other locations?

Mcdo crew

Hello! Are there any McDo crew members here? Especially those who often work at the front as cashiers?

I would like to ask what advice you have for a soon-to-be crew member? And can I ask for a review sheet for the menu, like what I need to memorize...

Huhu I just want to practice since my training is coming up soon.

Please please 🛐🛐

Wendy's Question How do you get into management?

I’ve worked in fast food for 20 years in entry level positions, I’d like to know how does one get to be a manager?

What are the requirements? Is a drivers license required?
