Zoology/marine biology Why can cats bond/feel love?

So, it is commonly said that reptiles (most of them, anyway) cannot form social bonds/feel love because they do not live in groups so therefore didn’t evolve that ability. But cats, specifically house cats, are commonly accepted to feel love and seem to display affectionate behavior. But cats evolved from the African Wild cat, which is a solitary predator, so why did they evolve to feel love? I know female cats care for their kittens, so maybe that’s why they feel love, but that’s only for a few months, and so do crocodiles. And if that were the reason, why can male cats also feel love if they don’t care for kittens?

All the atoms that make up a human being are inanimate. Yet, a human is a living being possessed of emotions. Since atoms contain neither life nor emotion, where do these life and emotions in a human come from?

A buddy of mine said people that work out every day going to the Gym and going for runs and being athletic build have stronger heart and lung function.

He said also when they get sick it does not last as long and you coughing way less than someone really fat and extremely out of shape.

Why is that?

Zoology/marine biology Do other intelligent animals have belief?

I ask myself this sometimes and truly wonder if other highly intelligent animals like whales, elephants, etc have beliefs? We know orcas, dolphins, etc have different cultures(or just orcas dont remember) so this makes me wonder do they also believe in a being similar to what we think is our god? Do they also think their created for a purpose and that their not animals made from nature?(because people often think we are not animals like the rest for some reason)

I imagine there probably isnt any studies on this, but i just want to hear peoples thoughts and ideas.

[Based on our current knowledge] Why did life evolve only on Earth? Please do not answer this by saying, "because the conditions on Earth were more favorable." A form of life different from those that evolved on Earth could have evolved elsewhere, adapted to the conditions of those other places.

Evolution Are pregnancy symptoms part of evolution?

Sounds super cut and dry, but I’m curious if a woman today can vomit the whole 9 months, is there any evidence primal women carried worse? A lot of women are also subject to: ges. diabetes, high blood pressure, falling teeth, gum disease, swollen limbs etc. How would this turn out for women thousands of years ago? Why is pregnancy so detrimental to the body now?

Also wondering does other mammals actually experience morning sickness and the whole 9, or is it just us?
