I'm still pissed and confused about this. I confronted a guy for making an insensitive kinda queerphobic joke, he also made comments about people being "level 1 gay" or "level 2 gay" (based on stereotypes) and when I asked, point blank, are you gay (because I already know he's cis) he said "spirutually." eventually he stuttered into admitting "no." what the fuck. this is NEW LEVELS of "i have a gay friend," absolutely wild to hear a cishet man excuse a homophobic joke by saying "well i'm an ally and i have gay friends so i'm basically part of the LGBTQ+!" NO. NO YOU ARE NOT. FUCK OFF.
