After a year and a half of modeling, rendering, and developing, I finally dropped the official pilot teaser for my series, The Ballad of Fire & Thunder.

The Concept:

In the spring of 2016, Alex, Robert, and Diego take on what should be a routine hustle in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. When a high-speed chase forces them into an abandoned tunnel, the trio stumbles into a gateway to a medieval, Tolkien-esque fantasy world. With their street smarts, they rise quickly in this new land, carving out influence and power.

It is basically a mix of The Wire, Snowfall, and Game of Thrones. I'm finishing up the rest of the 3D models now and getting ready to animate the full pilot episode.

Honestly, whether you all like (or even watch) the trailer, what matters to me is that I was actually able to finish this trailer and see it through. I haven't made narrative content in quite awhile, and this is the first one that I've done that is wholly original. I'm just glad to know that I was able to see it through, and I know for a fact that I'm going to put my all into putting out the first few episodes and beyond.

Getting ready to release a series on YouTube. Some clips from the first episode.
