Why Students are Setting France on Fire
Pretty good introduction to the French student protests.
It's an interesting topic, and I'm particularly interested in how it could be analyzed from an anarcho-nihilist perspective. These kids are in a scary position, I know from my own experience how scary a clash with armoured riot police can be, but from seeing videos from the French protests and from my personal experiences, it's also undeniable that there's an element of catharsis, almost fun, or what anarcho-nihilists call "jouissance". These kids have been pressed into inhumane conditions for years and are now finally getting to push back with physical force, regardless of whether or not they actually achieve the goal of education reforms, these attacks on state power show the cathartic power that springs out of finally having had enough.

How to finance full time activism?
Hey, everyone!
The title says it all. Lately, I’ve been feeling an increasing desire to devote all my energy to activism. The question is: How can I make that happen?
I’ve been sick for a long time now, so I have experience living solely on social benefits. Here in Germany it’s doable but not exactly great fun. I’m now part of solidarity networks, so in an emergency, I’d never have to go hungry or be without money for my meds or anything like that. But for some things, you just need money.
Do any of you have experience with this and want to share how you’ve financed your full-time activism?
Greetings in solidarity

Is neutrality part of norm, order & hierarchy?
Usually neutrality is being presented or perceived as inclusivity, open-mindness, "commonness"!!!!
From there a neutral public space is pushed as welcoming space!
Is that so? Is neutrality in fact hidden hostility to anarchist thoughts, queer communities & alternative way of thinking?
We explore these intriguing questions in this VIDEO!

"On this day in 1992, Indigenous peoples and anti-colonial allies confronted Columbus Day celebrations across the continent. In San Francisco a black bloc also marched, one of the earliest in North America." -Gord Hill, 500 Years of Indigenous Resistance
"A group of about 4,000 protesters arrayed along San Francisco's waterfront, supported by boats and kayaks that blocked off entrance to the harbor, prevented the re-enactment of Columbus’ landing that was scheduled as part of a quincentennial Columbus Day celebration.
Egg-throwing demonstrators also provoked violence along the route of the annual parade through the city’s heavily Italian North Beach district. Police arrested 40 protesters--some of whom threw Molotov cocktails and bottles at officers--mainly for disrupting the parade and inciting to riot, authorities said.
After several passes in front of the landing site at Aquatic Park, the boat bearing 'Columbus' turned and sped away, delighting the chanting and hooting demonstrators onshore.
The demonstrations were the centerpiece of activities sponsored by the Resistance 500 Coalition for Indigenous People’s Month. Participants represented a cross-section of Bay Area activists, ranging from American Indians protesting what they term the genocide of their people, to anarchists and lesbians protesting the imperialism and patriarchy that they trace to Columbus’ arrival in the Americas."

New User Boycott question
Hi,
I feel like I’m always seeing posts of companies to boycott that invest in ICE, AI, Israel, etc. but I’m having trouble finding alternatives for a lot of companies. For example I use Amazon to buy almost everything. I’m disabled so I pretty much shop online for everything I need. So what’s the best alternative to Amazon? Amazon is the biggest example I have but there’s so many more. Has anyone created like a master list of companies to boycott with good alternatives?
Any advice is appreciated, thank you

New User Alphanumerics, resistance, symbols, resources?
Hello! I have a friend who recently came across the 161 alphanumeric code in a comment section, he was worried it might have been a hate thing, and texted me about it because i spend a lot of time looking out for dogwhistles.
Symbols are pretty well known and obvious, but almost all alphanumeric symbols i've had to be taught by an elder in my community, or had to have explained to me. It struck me that someone must have catalogued, somewhere, common alphanumerics in the political sphere.
I come now to ask, does anyone have something like that? Even if its a list exclusive to certain ideologies (IE; only lists right wing alphanumerics like 88/1488, or only lists left wing codes like 1312/161.) My friend is currently in college, and i've realized a lot of people in our age group are very poorly educated on hate symbols and resistance symbols alike. Alphanumerics aren't all too common these days from what i know, but they still crop up. I'd love to be able for both of us to distribute flyers or links to anything in particular to our local communities.
If anyone knows of a list- book, website, blog post, any form its in that i can get my hands on- that'd be an awesome thing to share. Thanks for reading, excuse any formatting i am not a redditor nor am i on laptop.

My family is against me being Sikh and anarchist, and against me sharing my views on these topics.
Hi. I live in Turkey. I really love Sikhism and Anarchism. I spent almost my entire life in private schools, but I'm a class-traitor and anarchist. I live in Türkiye, but my family is against my views. They think I can't become a civil servant. What advice can you give me?

Flávio Bolsonaro, Brazil's candidate for the presidency, using Mussolini aesthetics for his own propaganda
This guy, unfortunately, has received almost half of the country's votes. Education is the true portal for not falling for this kind of shit, thinking it's nothing important. And that's exactly what he and his fascist family wants to take away from Brazilian citizens.

Natali Cohen Vaxberg’s Infamous Anti-Zionist & Anti-Religious Short Film: Blending Day of Atonement into a Disturbing Anti-Fairy Tale "Purity"
[ANTI-ESTABLISHMENT AVANT-GARDE ARCHIVE] Following up on her uncompromised catalog featured last week, international anarchist and dissident artist and filmmaker Natali Cohen Vaxberg delivers a sharp 20-minute structural shock treatment and psychological short film titled "Purity" , fully armed with English subtitles:
What happened to little Purity when she found out about an imaginary creature called God? And what did it make her do on Yom Kippur
The film sharply and through black humor critiques the education system, parental attitudes toward their children, racism, bullying, and religious coercion. It demonstrates what happens when religion and nationhood are prioritized over human life.
Operating under an absolute institutional blockade and multiple state arrests for her radical public interventions, Vaxberg’s work completely rejects mainstream compromise. Presented with the deceptive framing of a surreal children's story, this concise performance piece turns into a deeply disturbing, pitch-black critique of structural isolation, collective civilian conditioning, and performative societal constraints. Utilizing a visceral aesthetic of profound discomfort, continuous loops, and severe auditory distress, she embodies the stylized personifications of an uncompromised Witch and a dark Angel to completely shatter traditional comfort frameworks from a raw outsider perspective.

I think my criminal justice class is making me consider Anarchism more.
Basically im in college right now (dumb 20 year old lol) majoring in criminal justice and currently have the future goal of wanting to be a paralegal or lawyer for unions or something helping people like giving legal aid to immigrants and stuff.
I've recently been starting to read some anarchist literature (Emma goldman) and it feels like my law class is making me in a strange way consider Anarchism more and more.
Like for example ive met some socialists who are public defenders and I have had conversations with them about their case load and how much work they have. Basically they get like 50 cases and the vast majority of those cases aren't even serious crimes but petty drug offenses or things of that nature. Things I dont even think need to be prosecuted in any sense.
My professor used to be a police officer then prosecutor and then became a defense attorney. This kinda have me pause though He is honest about how the system is made as of current to jail people as much as possible. He said that its super common for people to take plea deals like 99% because you can be in jail for years with no trial. So when they offer a deal that looks like "Plead guilty and leave jail today or risk a bad trial and go to Prison for 20 years" it just makes sense for most reasonable people to "confess" to get out of their imprisonment. Imprisonment that hasn't even been able to go to trial as Jails are the holding place between the court and Prison. How can the state just be allowed to do that? Well it seems that the state can do whatever it wants with no regard to the law at all!
Another thing I learned from this professor is that the state only paid out money to the people impriosned in the japense interment camps after FOURTY YEARS! What is even the point of the law if the state whenever it so chooses can break it and face no real consequences?
I was already a socialist and so understood that poverty makes crime happen more and that the legal system is unfair to working people but I guessed I assumed that just a socialization of the economy would fix this issue. But it seems to me more and more that the State itself is incapable of justice.
Emma Goldman made a point that has spurred this thought on epsecially. She states that 90% of crime is property and that the state exists to protect private property. I looked it up and yeah 80% of crime in the US is over property and other countries like Spain or Germany its 90 or 95%.
Which means that the state no matter how many public defenders there are or how many judges we have there will always be an insane backlog of cases and people who are in jail with no trials.
This is a bit ranty I suppose but I just wanted to share some of thoughts ive been thinking about recently as I cant really talk about Anarchism with many people lol. Im still learning about Anarchism and what justice in a stateless society would look like but so far im unimpressed with the states current method. I still think i want a job in the legal system but only in things like mentioned before like union or protecting rights.

Why are yall limited to this sub??
To all the believers, i think you all should post outside of this sub, comment on ignorant shit. i think we are limiting our capacity just because we are too lazy. spark curiousity in other people too, increase the audience. if you all really believe in this shit, you know other people need to be educated too. the others are trying too hard to expand their propoganda, trying to brainwash people with unsophisticated, shallow quotes and texts. its your responsibility teach them for the better.
