i've seen a lot of people on the sub talk about the dollhouse chapter and mention that they didn't like it and it made them uncomfortable, but like isn't that the point? the whole chapter delves into really heavy stuff and i felt like having it be a lot less fantastical and more muddled was a big strength. it's like the curtains in alice's mind are being peeled back as she faces what happened to her and the children around her. i really loved the aesthetics of the dollhouse and how it dragged on tbh but maybe that's just me 😭 what do you think ?
