These are the first editions, lightning cable versions but they were hardly used. no sag and seems to be kept very nicely

Just wanted to vent, can’t believe how this can happen… The NC effect is so powerful that it was easy to notice when it went down to almost no effect at all.

I’m super careful with expensive stuff, so I don’t think I could have caused it. Tried everything like factory reset, taking of the cups but nothing helped. Transparency works, so the mics must be ok? Oh well, hope I was just unlucky, getting a replacement pair since I was so happy with them.

Why is high end stuff so shitty? Bought a Denon cd player last year, and the sled developed problems after one week. 🤪

These are the 1st generation AirPods Maxes, and I hate how this just happened. Any advice works out!!

I’m picked up a pair of Max 2’s yesterday and have been testing them out today. I’ve noticed a periodic and seemingly random issue when listening to podcasts from Spotify on my iPhone, where the audio will glitch or stutter in the left ear, then the right ear, and then go back to normal. It’s a fraction of a second type thing, and I initially thought it might be on the audio track itself. But if I rewind to the spot where it happened, the audio is fine.

Is this a known issue or something that anyone here has experience with?

Hey everybody, I have apple care plus on my airpods max one and have been having an issue with distorted audio and the left side has anc that seems to fade out and then come back on. I took them to apple and made it a point to go in person because i wanted a chance to explain the issue, as it’s somewhat subtle, but they basically just gave me the ear ups and sent them off.

Well that was last Saturday, i’ve not heard a single thing from apple about the repair, have opened multiple support cases where apple asks for the repair id, to which I explain I don’t have which is part of the reason i’ve open said support case, and then they tell me they can’t do anything without it. Today by chance i checked find my and noticed that they are 2 miles from my house, so I opened a phone support case and the guy told me they found nothing wrong and just sent them back as is. I’m so beyond frustrated with this does anyone have any advice?

Got mine last week and it has been bliss. I read all the reviews before I purchased because there were so many options Bose, 360s, etc. people said oh there is no difference between the AirPods when listening clearly those people just mad and having shoppers remorse for dropping over 500 bucks. There is clearly a difference. My AirPods Pro could never make my teeth chatter from bass. (My Apple Music equalizer presetting is set to increase bass always ) Skullcandy crusher, (half the price of the Max) I have, those make your teeth clammer but all that bass is not necessary all the time. And if you turn the bass off the crushers they sound not so good. We all know Apple works with Apple seamlessly and the Digital Crown and functions on the Max I absolutely love. And they act as AirPods turning on and off when you put them on and off. I love that. I can deal with the bra. I haven’t charged mine but one full time since I got them and used them everyday for the last week. When I’m not using them I immediately put them back in the bra to conserve battery. Of course this changes over the years but I don’t plan on using them over a few years something else would come out and yes I have AppleCare I would suggest that for any Apple device especially the nearly $600 pair of headphones (with tax) but I got lucky I got mine at Best Buy on sale for 429 through DoorDash in the pre-hurricane with a 30.00 tip for the driver to bring them to me so I’m overly pleased. Haven’t felt bad one bit for spending the money on them when our economy is shit and our world is upside down. At least I have my AirPods Max. and yes I specifically wanted the purple ones but I did substitute for the orange (coral) probably would have preferred the black ones but when I’m splurging I want everyone to know they’re the latest and greatest ones, so pretentious 💜😂💯

APM 1 - 3 years of use

Im really careful with the technology I buy. I’ve never had to take something for repair or something. But accidents could happen, sooo someone here have used the Apple Care with the Airpods Max? Is it really worth it? What is the most common issue with these that the Apple Care covers?

So, it’s been over two years that i’ve been trying on the AirPods Max 1 and 2 in stores and they seem huge on my head. I don’t think i have a particularly small or narrow head. I think my head is a normal size and i also don’t believe there are no women with smaller heads than mine who wear AirPods Max just fine ))
Am i doing something wrong? I adjust them to the smallest size, but they still sit a bit too low on my ears and even the slightest movement of my head makes them shift around a lot, like they’re about to fall off.
I think it’s because maybe they’re way too heavy, but still…lot of people don’t seem to have that problem

I told the guy in I was looking for a replacement of the 360’s for the hissing issue. He went away and come back with the refund hahaha I’ve already contemplated that option, a refund and get this. But I wanted to give the 360’s another try. But when the guy just gave me my money back I went straight up for this

Best Buy’s prime day sale was the perfect nudge to make me grab a pair. Loving them so far just wish they were sweat resistant so I could work out in them.

I went into the store to test out the AirPod max 2’s and the listening experience blew me away, I had never experienced that type of sound quality and anc ever in life. Most of the headphones I’ve tried were from soundcore, which don’t get me wrong was great, but the maxs were on a whole different level. I never thought I would see the day were I considered spending over $150 on headphones, let alone $900.

I had tried the nothing (a) which had great sound quality but was way way way too quiet despite being on max volume. This prompted me to return them.

I have the Bose QC ultra 2 delivering soon to test out those as well, but I find myself gravitating back to the AirPod max 2 as I want to give it a fair shot.

Some concerns I have however are the many issues ppl have had, with connectivity, the cord of the headphone disconnecting from being twisted so much, and the lifespan being around 2 yrs. I would most likely get the AppleCare, but again I’m iffy because of it being near $1000 dollars for the headphone to be having so many issues. Any suggestions??

I’ve now experienced this issue twice, and honestly, it’s pretty concerning because it could potentially cause hearing damage.

My setup:
AirPods Max (USB-C)
MacBook Pro with M5 Max
Spotify desktop

It happens like this:
I’m listening to music on Spotify at a normal, comfortable volume.
I pause the music and take off my AirPods Max.
My MacBook’s screen turns off after a while.
A few minutes later, I put my AirPods Max back on and wake up my MacBook.
I resume playback, and suddenly the music is BLASTING at what sounds like 100% volume, despite me never increasing it.
Both times, the volume was so painfully loud that I immediately ripped the headphones off my head. Thankfully, my reaction time was extremely quick, probably around 0.5 to 1 second.
both incidents left me with mild ear pain afterward. The first time, the pain lasted approximately 1–2 hours.

I genuinely don’t know whether this is a macos bug, a spotify issue, or some kind of Bluetooth volume synchronization problem.
What concerns me most is that there’s absolutely no warning. One moment everything is normal, and the next you’re getting an extremely loud blast of music directly into your ears.
I really don’t think something like this should be possible, especially with headphones this expensive.
I’m planning to report this to Apple Support because I consider it a potential hearing safety issue.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar with their AirPods Max, particularly after waking a mac from sleep or reconnecting the headphones?
And if so, has anyone figured out what’s causing it or how to prevent it?
I’d really appreciate any feedback because I’m honestly hesitant to use my AirPods Max with my MacBook right now.

Currently at $429 in Amazon.

Should I wait or buy it today? My Sony WH-1000XM4 are pretty much dead by now, I need some headphones asap.

I have a newish air pods pro max. About 9 months. They do not automatically connect. When I put them on, I have to go to Find My devices and play the sound. Then they work. Bit what’s weird is even thigh they’re on my head and playing music, if I go to my iPhone and try to change something I get a message. Your AirPods Max must be on your head. But they are in my head and are playing music. I’ve reset them over and over and over again.

Can I ask what is the issue is with the Apple AirPods Max 2 case? I keep so many comments saying “get rid of the case”. I just got mine (midnight) and my wife (blue) a pair and we’ve had no issues so far. What is the issue with the case?

I got the APM2 yesterday and it’s the heaviest headphones I ever had. Although after wearing it abit I don’t feel the weight, it does feel uncomfortable. The ANC pressure is weird especially in the left ear cup and the clamping force is strong. I wanted to know if this gets better with usage or it’s just how it is?

Hi i want to buy AirPods Max 2 in November but i was looking at other headphones like Sony WH-1000XM6 and Bose QC Ultra 2Gen. Now my question is should i:
• Save for the AirPods Max 2
• Or buy one of the mentioned above?
I only tried them on once for a second in an iDream in Poland because i wanted to see what they sound like and they sound amazing but are the headphones mentioned above on the same level / Worse / or better because honestly at this point i’m considering other options because im tired of waiting for my next paycheck to buy them😭

I got myself AirPods Max 2 but unfortunately my dog destroyed the case that was included, so I ordered another one from Amazon. And ever since then, when I take them out and put them on they don’t connect automatically or manually, only when I do a hard reset by holding two buttons for 15 sec. I don’t wanna do that every time. Has anyone had this?

i like them but after an hour the tension on my neck becomes very obvious i even got WC aftermarket pads that are more comfortable but damn if I don’t get used to it might have to let them go.

anyone else feel this way? how long did it take for you to get used to it if ever?
