Did I do anything wrong?

I recently provided my one week notice in a role I have been in for about 6 months.

I had a discussion with the director in person, and said that Wednesday would be my last day. I also sent an email out to confirm that it would be the Wednesday in line with my notice period.

Wednesday came, and no one seemed to know it was my last day. My manager left the office to go home in a rush and did not even say good bye. The director also did not know, and it wasn’t until I was handing in my stuff, he realised.

I feel like this is my fault, should I have reminded them?

Do you think they would give you notice if they were gonna fire you?

You provided them with more than enough notice. It's not your fault they don't read their emails and fail to notify eachother. The director forgot you were gonna quit? Just imagine how important you must have been to them...

Exactly, OP did their part by telling the director in person and confirming it by email. It’s not their job to keep reminding everyone about something they already communicated. The lack of communication was on the management, not OP.

Being fired means you royaly screwed up. You dont deserve a notice

And if the workplace screwed up, they don’t deserve one either.

you gave notice and confirmed the date in writing, it was their job to communicate it internally not yours to chase people down for a goodbye
