Greatest action film ever made?

Objectively I think Diehard is the greatest action film ever. You have a wisecracking protagonist, a charismatic villain, a fixed setting, brilliant action scenes, thrilling climax. All the ingredients for the ultimate action film. What’s not to love? The original John Wick is a close second. It’s also a great Christmas movie too. Yes it does count. A great action movie has a great hook. You have a NYC cop trapped in an Los Angeles hotel that’s been hijacked by German cyber terrorists. Can he save his family and everyone else in time or will he die hard trying?
