I recently bought the Acer Nitro lite 16. I just wanna hear some opinions.

Hey i bought acer nitro v16 model 2 month ago previous model has also same screen problem and i replaced it now the new model have also same screen problem what should i do ?

Acer Nitro V power button not working no matter how much I try. I don't have the cash to get it fixed this month any alternatives to get it on?

Anyone know how I can solve the stutter?

Windows had an update yesterday and now my Acer Nitro V ANV15-41 (Black obsidian) gets the usual black screen/bsod. Are acer nitros really this bad and sensitive? I had it upgraded to 16gb ram and that's the only upgrade I have with my laptop. After update and I proceeded to play, gsme will crash and eventually go black screen with "Your Device Ran into an error", sometimes its kernel heap, sometimes its memory management. What the hell is wrong with acer nitros? Anyone experiencing the same? How did y'all fix it? Thanks in advance.

Model: AN515-57 Issue: I was playing Project Zomboid with some friends, when the game froze, I could listen to everything, but the game was stuck on a frame. Since then, I tried to use my GPU, but then I have been struggling with this: Sometimes, when I boot the laptop, I can see the GPU working, but then I have a BSOD, I don't actually remember the error code/name, but it says something about corrupted drivers and such... I tried many things to solve it, but I am not able to do it. Can somebody help me, please? I don't have any money to buy a new laptop and I also use this one to work.

Cpu speed show abnormal in task manager, nitro, aderlaine software,hwinfo. Then it get shutdown due to watch dog violations. When laptop is unplugged it get IRL not equal reboot. While booting it get hypervisor 0x plus kernel level plus many issues. ​if anyone have idea please provide me. I think motherboard cpu gone. This laptop is just 1.3 year old.

I have an Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 that suddenly shut down after I noticed power fluctuations at the wall outlet.

While plugged into that outlet, the laptop's battery percentage kept dropping instead of charging. I tried using the same outlet with another laptop, and it experienced the same issue. However, after switching to a different outlet, the second laptop worked fine again.

Unfortunately, my 1st Acer Nitro 5 never recovered. It no longer charges or turns on, even when plugged into the working outlet. I also bought a replacement charger, but that made no difference.

The battery is around five years old. I disconnected it and tried powering the laptop directly from the charger, but nothing happened.

My questions:

• Can the Acer Nitro 5 AN515-54 normally run without a battery, using only the charger?
• Could the power fluctuations have damaged a power-management component?
• Is there a way to diagnose the fault before spending money on a replacement battery?

I don't want to buy a new battery only to discover that the actual problem is something else. Has anyone experienced something similar with this model?

For some reason my GPU has been doing this after the BIOS update, I'm actively working on it but I'm wondering if it was a coincidence as I haven't found anyone else talking about this.

My Acer Nitro's CPU is constantly at 90 degrees and GPU is at 94 degrees even though I am running only 4 Chrome tabs and nothing else. The fan constantly spins at 4k+ RPM, but still the temperature does not go down. I changed the paste a few months back. The fans too seem to work just fine. It's just that the temperatures are not going down and are impacting the performance. I don't want to buy a laptop now. It's too pricey these days. Please help me fix it.

Please, can sound tell me what's wrong with my laptop? It keeps on flickering. I really don't know where the problem started. When I connected it with the monitor, thankfully the flickering didn't show in there. Should I go the Acer Custormer Service? I really need my laptop for work.

i own an Acer Nitro 5 (AN515-58) and i've been thinking of getting a newer Acer Nitro V, i think it was a 15 or 16 i forgot. are there any pros and cons i should be aware of before buying it?

Just replaced the screen panel on my nitro v15 the hinge part of the bezel will not click on. I took it out and put it back on so many times. Im genuinely at a loss as to what to do.

Thought I would need it it’s still in box. I paid 1600$ I’ll sell for 1000. Also have 280 watt power supply I’ll throw in

I got a good enough deal on this laptop at a time I needed one for work and also gaming. I have a gaming PC as well but i'm planning on moving to another country for a little while so I wanted something more portable.

The Specs are:

CPU: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13420H (2.10 GHz)

RAM: 8.0 GB (7.71 usable)

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Laptop GPU (6 GB)

Intel(R) UHD Graphics (128 MB)

Since then I've been wanting to play some games that require 16 GB (Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy)

So my question is if it's worth it to buy at least another 8 GB stick?

I've seen some gameplay of both games and it runs mostly ok in low settings, nothing above 60 fps I don't think.

Hace una semana comence a tener bajadas de fps y subidas de temperaturas absurdas que antes no tenia, yo no juego con todo ultra, siempre priorizo mi cpu y gpu en lo maximo 50% de uso, con una temperatura promedio de 60°- 70°

Pero hace una semana comenzaron a subir a 90° y tener bajadas de desempeño por causa del calor

Mi cpu sin nada en uso solo despues de encender la laptop subia a 65°-70°

Opte por cambiar todos los pads de 1mm por masa termica thermal putty rosada de 12w/h y pasta termica artic MX7, que es muy densa, para evitar el pump out, le hice un test de crystal dismark de cpu y gpu al 100% un pico maximo de 80° sim caidas por temperatura

Por si le sirve a alguien que quiera hacer cambio de pasta termica, masa y thermal pads, para recomendarle esas marcas y en vez de colocar thermal pads utilizar masa termica en su lugar

La pasta termica de la foto es muy densa, no es recomendable esparcirla con espatula por que se quedara pegada en ella, por eso la aplique de esa manera

I have an Acer Nitro N60-640 prebuilt purchased in October 2025 with these specs:

- CPU: Intel Core i7-14700F

- Motherboard: Gigabyte B760M C V2

- GPU: RTX 5070 Ti

- RAM: 32GB

- Current BIOS: F4 YY1, dated 11/26/2024

- Current microcode: 0x12B, according to World of Warcraft

I recently started playing WoW again, and the game warned me that my CPU doesn't have the recommended microcode update to address potential Intel 13th/14th-gen instability. It recommends microcode 0x12F or later.

Acer's support page lists BIOS F5c for motherboard version 2 and F3 for version 3. My system reports a Gigabyte B760M C V2 board, and I'm currently on F4 YY1.

I contacted Acer support to confirm which BIOS I should install and whether it contains the required microcode. The chat representative recommended F5c, but couldn't independently confirm the microcode included in the package or exactly which files were inside it.

I then called Acer support. The representative told me Acer doesn't allow customers to perform this BIOS update themselves and that I need to ship the entire PC to their repair center. He said they'd attempt the update and replace the motherboard if the update bricks it. He also told me my warranty has been extended by two years because of the Intel processor issue.

Acer is sending me internal packing foam for the graphics card, but I'll need to arrange packaging for the tower myself, likely by paying FedEx to pack it. The estimated repair time is 5–7 business days, plus shipping time.

I'm hesitant to ship my entire PC away, especially because the written follow-up email says Acer can't confirm which microcode is included in the BIOS packages. The service agreement also authorizes them to erase the drive and reinstall factory software if they determine it's necessary.

The PC currently works normally, and I haven't noticed any obvious CPU instability. I do have an older PC from around 2021 with an RTX 3000-series GPU that I could potentially use in the meantime.

I'm trying to decide what makes the most sense here:

1. Has anyone with this specific Acer Nitro N60-640 model and motherboard version successfully updated from F4 YY1 to F5c?

2. Is shipping the whole PC to Acer the sensible option, given the potential CPU instability issue?

3. Has anyone used Acer's repair service for this issue? Did they update the BIOS successfully, and did the warranty cover any necessary motherboard replacement?

4. Would you keep using the PC while arranging service, or stop gaming on it until the update is done?

I'm not looking to flash a random Gigabyte BIOS and risk making things worse. I'm trying to make an informed decision about whether to ship a working PC away for a repair Acer won't let me perform myself.
