Advice Temp job coming to an end

I have 12 years experience in accounting with a master's in accounting and currently put myself in a challenge to pass the enrolled agent exam. I've always been low balled at 65k.. and every time I work in a new position.. I'm the smartest one.. I'm shocked how a lot of my colleagues don't know much.. I will start looking for a new position... How do y'all get the 80k plus salaries... This is going to be my new challenge cause I'm pretty qualified

Maybe don’t act like the smartest in the room?

Well, if you are truly a problem solver then you just have to solve a higher cost problem then you’ll make more.

The answer is to ask for what you want. If you tell a recruiter that your are making 65k but you want to make 100k they will fixate on that lower number. Tell them what you want out of your next position. Don’t tell them what you really make. Also freeze TWN. Background checks can get your prior paychecks from TWN.

12 years doing what? Where’s your CPA?
