I’m not sure how many people have been keeping up to speed with Enhanced Progressive’s most recent releases but it seems that they’re pretty much all the newer ‘uptempo neo-trance’ sound, which while good in its own right in isolation, is simply not ‘progressive’ in the slightest, nor is it anything close what we know Enhanced to be.

I do think it’s a good thing to embrace new sounds, start a new sub-label if you must, but to just straight-up abandon the Progressive Trance sound you have spent the last 20 odd years defining, and one that has a loyal following to follow trends (and then just calling it ‘Progressive’ is baffling.

it's been a while since i've been active on here, but this is all i've ever wanted! probably my only chance to ever see A&B live. I was very sad when I spent a year in Canada and didn't get any opportunities to catch them, I had to go home just before the album tour started. the last time A&B was in Singapore, I wasn't even old enough to go to clubs yet.

I was wondering just this day, how come has James Grant never released anything just as himself? He always does it in cooperation with Jody Wisternoff, participating in the mixes together. I am aware that he does many things for the Anjuna label, being the co-founder, talent acquiring, work around the labels(Deep, Explorations), those Movement mixes, obviously Anjunadeep compilations, his sets with Jody are always a thing to watch and look for as they are full of new IDs...And yeah, then it got me, that's what he does! He just brings it all. Everytime I want something quality to listen to, some very good set to re-live, music to discover, there is always a something from the mentioned catalogue of his. So yeah, I meant to write a question about why James never releases as himself, wanting to actually understand it, while realizing all of what I mentioned, so yeah, cheers to more of that, James!

I had so much fun at ABGT700 this year but the stand out for me was the party Farius threw on Friday at Camp Anjuna. I know a lot of people aren't familiar with QTS since he's only been running it in London but was stoked to see it's gonna be in a few cities this fall. Toronto and NYC are this weekend. I can't wait for Chicago but let me know if you go to any of the other cities!

Hi all, my wife and I (35/37) coincidentally happen to be in Glasgow for Friday's event on the tail end of our two week Scotland trip. We've never been to Glasgow or live music out here so would love some tips and/or if anyone wants to say hello.

We're from Oakland, California and have been to a number of A&B events, very excited to celebrate the end of a great trip and wear ourselves out before the flight home on Saturday.

I find this very, very unlikely. Since it's 100% certain they choose what they play and in what order before they go on stage, why would they risk mixing them on the spot? And when you don't really improvise what you play next - like old school DJs do - what is even the benefit of mixing right then and there? If you watch the guys performing the latest deep and Group Therapy sets from Gorge, you can see they're not scrolling through tracks or setting anything up. It's mostly touching the controller slightly but not making actual adjustments. And when they're all three on the stage it's somewhat ridiculous since there's not much to do even for a one person.

I am not making judgments, I enjoy their sets and selections, but I'd love to discuss what this is about. I definitely wouldn't call it DJing. Some performance maybe? The live part is them being there with the crowd?

For reference, I've been listening to their and their label's music since 2001 so I am not a hater!

To cut to the chase, would you go to A&B show solo?

Or rather, a solo Trance/EDM show at all? It’s not something I’ve ever done - I’m not a massive extrovert but I am pretty comfortable with being with myself (used to travel a lot for work). Anyway, sell me the dream!

They’re in Liverpool this weekend and my wife was going to come, but she’s at a best friend’s birthday instead now. (To be honest, she would have appreciated it less anyway so it may have been a blessing haha).

(Also, I have a free spare ticket going - paid for it ages ago, so not bothered about the money!)

Hi guys and girls, I am currently revisiting some of the older Anjunadeep editions and stumbled across a track in Douran's set (Anjunadeep Edition 430).

Since I have been an Anjunadeep fan for for quite some time already, I immediately recognized that very track in Douran's set or - to be more precise - the sample behind it. If I remember correctly, the sample was taken from another track, so it's not the original track in Douran's set (if I am not mistaken).

Can somebody tell me the original track on which the track in Douran's set is based? You can find it at around 11:00 min into the set.
