The #BidwillOut movement is exploding on Twitter right now guys. Please make your voices heard, we’re tired.

u/Open_Muffin5137 9h ago
Him selling is highly unlikely BUT if public outcry is enough he may finally take a reality check and step back as president and hire a real football guy. He can still sit back and collect checks but stay out of operations.
18
u/lilcashmon BA 9h ago
It started as “Sell the team or step down as team president” but then I guess everybody realized we just want him completely gone 😂
-5
u/Open_Muffin5137 9h ago
Ya unfortunately it’s the same people that want a player cut after a bad game and to fire coaches and coordinators on a game by game basis. These same people talk about our bad reputation but imagine if they were in charge? One mess up and you are gone! Great way to boost PR!

u/Legitimate_Band3696 9h ago
This is, in my opinion, an even bigger waste of time than me making this comment. Dude would probably stick his dick in molten lava before selling this team.

u/pp21 9h ago
The franchise has been operated by the Bidwill family for nearly a century, starting with Charles Bidwill back in 1932. It's bigger than just money. There is zero chance of Michael Bidwill parting with it. It's a legacy ownership, and he's not gonna be the one who breaks that cycle. Sucks, but that's our sad reality
5
u/bschmidt25 Larry Fitzgerald 9h ago
Yeah - I agree. No way he’ll sell. I just wish he’d take his ownership of the team more seriously.
22
u/Tilt_ow Bad Day 9h ago
Yeah he’s not selling the team but the guy undoubtedly has a massive ego and seeing billboards telling him to sell will definitely hurt it. Fans getting vocal and upset enough could hopefully force his hand in stepping down as team president. If he did that and it turned out successful I don’t think anyone would care about who owns the team
11
u/mschoobs 9h ago
Why do people keep saying this. He makes roughly 100 M in profita per year. He could sell the cardinals for over 5 B. That is 50 years of profit.
11
5
u/lilcashmon BA 9h ago
Manchester United fans got their ownership to sell a minority 30% stake and give up all sporting operations. Why can’t we do similar?
2
u/GodspeedHernandez 7h ago
Look at the bigger picture. There is literally zero downside to voicing this point. When has this fanbase ever been this aligned against the half-measures running this franchise? We need to ride this wave and demand real accountability instead of settling for the same tired routine: uninspired GM hires, lame-duck HCs, and pathetic NFLPA facility grades while the front office brags about end-zone casitas.
Real change starts at the top. Let’s stop giving ownership a pass. It starts with us the real fans!0
u/perhizzle Larry Fitzgerald 6h ago
If the fans band together, they can make him sell. They can force the NFL to get him out as well. Make it a national news story.
18
u/VikingRodeo9 Cardinals 9h ago
I want Bidwill to sell as much as the next guy, but he’s absolutely not selling unless he does or says something publicly racist and the players take a stand, or if he gets caught screwing the other owners out of money like Dan Snyder did.
This is the only thing Bidwill has. The only way he makes money. The only way his family makes money. He’s absolutely not giving this football team up unless the league forces him to.
9
u/Ambitious_Concern_94 8h ago
All he needs to do is say something anti semetic and Robert Kraft will get him banned
9
u/uptofunonreddit 9h ago
Don’t know 5 billion is a lot, the sister owns half too i believe. She might be putting pressure on mike too
10
u/VikingRodeo9 Cardinals 9h ago
Michael also likes being part of the owners club. I think his ego is far too big to sell. We all know he’s sensitive and insecure, selling the team would mean he “failed” and I don’t think Bidwill could handle that emotionally.
6
u/Saltwater_Thief Larry Fitzgerald 7h ago
If sensitivity to being a failure was a motivator for him we'd be a real team.
1
u/VikingRodeo9 Cardinals 4h ago edited 3h ago
Old habits die hard. Bill Bidwill was probably the cheapest owner, or one of the cheapest owners in the history of the league. Everything is about ROI. Michael doesn’t know any different, it’s all he knows and he doesn’t have other revenue streams besides the Cardinals.
They’re just not smart enough to realize that if they put a winning team and product out, their revenue would increase tenfold.

u/perhizzle Larry Fitzgerald 7h ago
You know how you can make money? By selling your franchise for several billion dollars. My guess is he does that after building the new facilities.
-1
u/Dreamer1317 6h ago
All I can say, is if he is the owner of the cardinals after this year, i will no longer be a cardinals fan. I will not buy tickets or merchandise. I will officially give up on this team.

u/Mr-Gibbs12 Larry Fitzgerald 9h ago
Public pressure DOES matter, if not to Bidwill then to the other NFL owners. You think the owners got rid of Dan Snyder because of their own moral code? Fuck no, they look the other way when a wife beater or rapist signs with their team. Enough public backlash WILL force action. Don’t let people tell you otherwise
7
u/JohnBrownisMarching 9h ago
Dan Snyder was an antagonistic cunt, Bidwell is just bad a running the team, those are two very different people. Moreover, why would the other owner want to replace and incomptent owner for a good one. The cards always being trash is good for the other 31 teams who play them.
4
u/Mr-Gibbs12 Larry Fitzgerald 9h ago
Good for their team maybe, bad for business. An entire media market choosing to tune out their home team indefinitely is objectively bad for the NFL’s revenue sharing system. Yes, obviously away teams will fill some of the seats, but no TV viewership will hurt more than you think when it comes time to renegotiate media rights deals with their broadcasting partners.

The fans backing this care more about the team than those who don't.

Bidwell loves playing team president and acting like a big shot with Monti, u can tell by the goofy look in his eye. There is no chance he is selling, but shaming him for the rest of time is still a good idea.

u/TheTangoFox 9h ago
Yes, because if there's one group who he will listen to...
is the poors on social media

All that will happen is they will leave town, San Antonio would love them

Bidwell probably owns most of the billboards around the city and this is just an effort to drum up business for them. He isn't selling the team, no matter how many billboards and other ads people buy. He's always been considered one of the worst owners. He's used to this at this point and doesn't care at all what we think.
1
u/loldrums Pain 5h ago
Apparently it took a while to find billboard owners who aren't in bed with him.
5
u/ShadowRain4 Pain 8h ago
lol at all the “You’re gonna lose the team posts”. Arizona will get another team if that happens. This place is a gold mine. We are one of the most populated states. We have transplants from all over the country. We’d get an expansion team and probably an owner who actually wants to win and not be a loser for another century.

u/Born_Professor_6929 9h ago
He needs to go but y’all really think a fucking twitter hashtag is gonna do anything…
10
u/RaveIsKing Michael Bidwill 9h ago
It worked for the Anaheim Angels just last year. Moreno specifically said he sold the team because he couldn’t take the protests against him anymore.
I’ve seen it work in Europe with soccer teams too

u/Maximum-Athlete-2564 7h ago
This shit is just funny. People are really that stupid. He is not some elected official where our whining matters. The only thing that would have an impact is to stop watching and going to games. And the result likely wont be bidwill selling the cardinals. Theyd just threaten the city for more money then move.

Imagine scrolling past all the great causes that are fundraising on Go Fund Me and instead deciding to donate your hard earned money to pay for billboards attempting to shame a billionaire who clearly has no shame.

u/jonasu25 8h ago
I will have to piggyback off of somebody because I refuse to join that shit hole X.
But sell the team Bidwill! Stop stealing from us!
2
u/GallenOfKetel 7h ago
I mean we don’t even know the full ownership structure. He is the “principal owner” which does not automatically mean he has a controlling share. He has multiple siblings that could together own a controlling share and may not want to lose their mailbox money.
The fact that his net worth is estimated to be 1.4b compared to the Cards 5.6b valuation points to this scenario. It might actually he hard to even sell the franchise in the first place, which is very on brand for this franchise.

They can easily take this team elsewhere. There are likely several cities that would like an NFL team. Be careful what you wish for. Then everyone will be complaining about not having a team for years.

As a former Seattle Sonics fan, I assure you this is a major gamble regardless of the market fundamentals.

u/Duma123 Cardinals 8h ago
We're the fifth largest city and 10th largest metro area, and the NFL owners hold the annual ownership meeting here every spring. Nothing's guaranteed, but sports leagues like this market. I have no doubt we'd get an expansion team or another one moved here within a decade.

Phoenix is a massive city, theres no way the NFL would let the 5th largest city in the US not have a team.

u/Masterofchaos11 Dennis Gardeck 8h ago
I would legit feel bad for the next city that the Cardinals went to, thinking they were getting an NFL team and got the Cardinals. It would give me a reason to not care about them anymore, doesn’t sound that bad actually.
1
u/SqueegeePhD 4h ago edited 3h ago
I might tune into more Cardinals games to hate watch if they move to Oklahoma City or somewhere. It would be so gratifying to see them torture another "market" by being a leech. I'd also rather wait for an expansion team than see these owners steal anymore money from people of this state.

LMFAO! I made a post about this a month ago saying we need to shout “Sell the team” at the stadium and I got a lot of thumbs downs and negative feedback. Fuck ya’ll now 😂

I made the same suggestion on here about a year ago and got laughed at too lol it’s all good, finally getting the wheels rolling.

u/Such_Technician_1682 9h ago
Bidwill is going to see the billboards and have good laugh about it. This is a waste of money….unless you happen to sell billboard ads, in which case, well played.
2
u/lilcashmon BA 9h ago
You old Cardinals fans are the reason this was able to go on so long, leave it to us young fans to put some pressure on y’all useless.

u/Such_Technician_1682 9h ago edited 9h ago
You know what? You are right. This is clearly my fault. I’d like to take this opportunity issue a formal apology to Cardinals fans everywhere - My bad, this one is on me guys. Sorry for letting things get this out of hand.
To show you all how sorry I am I will be donating my entire pay check to these useless fucking billboards.
How are you supposed to put pressure on Bidwill when you have to block people who don’t recognize you as the leader of a fan revolution?

u/chumps_malone Cardinals 9h ago
What are the chances Bidwill sells the team to someone in another state? That’s my only fear with this. I know AZ is a huge market and other large cities already have a team, but after losing the coyotes it would really suck to lose another team
-1
u/copperstar22 Larry Fitzgerald 8h ago
I’m sure I’m going to get downvoted but, while Bidwell is a clown at best Theres no way to know whatever billionaire nepo baby/trust fund manager/whatever we get is any better. Browns are a joke still, clippers are a joke, hell look at the dbacks and their two owners. Every owner is going to pay lip service about wanting to win and culture of excellence whatever but that extends only as far as it makes them money.

2
u/SqueegeePhD 5h ago
Due to the Green Bay rule, NFL teams are not allowed to have fan ownership (limit ownership groups to maximum 25 members) and a majority controlling owner should hold minimum 30%. Maybe someday the rules will change, but until then NFL fans are stuck with billionaires, all of which are bad.

They've only missed the playoffs 4 times in 15 years. They are, without a doubt, in the upper 3rd of NBA teams as far as success and consistency.

i think the realistic goal of this movement is not for him to actually sell the team but for him to feel the pressure, hire a team president that the fans choose, and find a new gm
0
u/CharlesTheDog 7h ago
Are they even legally even allowed to use the cards logo? I guess you could just use any randone photo of a cardinal.

He will hire a competent president?
0
u/rosstrich 5h ago
He’s more likely to move the team than to sell the team. The Cardinals are the oldest team in the league and the Bidwills have owned them for almost 100 years. I’d rather the team stay in the family than be sold to some AI tech executive who’s looking for a tax shelter.

I like that 98.7 has been calling Bidwill out finally. Specifically Gambo and Bickley. The local media is how it starts to get more people to voice their displeasure.
