QB Draft Pick
College football is about half way through the season. Assuming we could take anyone, who would it be? It was thought to be a great QB class but seems like a lot of regression or lack of improvement. Sellers has regressed, Manning still hasn’t taken a step forward, Moore (concussed) but still looks meh. Who would be your pick?

As a cards fan, I think Mestimaker is QB1 and would be excited to get him… As an OSU fan, I want him to stay as far away from this franchise as possible.

The best college prospects go to the worst nfl teams, that's the entire design of the parity cycle.

Doesn't matter who the Cardinals or the Browns take at QB with the high 1st round pick. Ownership will screw it up. It could be the 2nd coming of Montana, Young, Brady, Mahomes all wrapped in 1 guy and it will go sideways. The common variable is ownership. Different GM, coaches, staff, players the ownership remains the same & so does the inevitable results.

Players I would want in order
Mestemaker
Carr
Mensah
Mestemaker has an unbelievable story and has fought for everything
Carr is like a Brock Purdy- type QB, high end game manager with like top 10 ceiling. And he has the familiarity with love. I think he makes a ton of sense, great pedigree, and has turned it up this year.
Mensah I wonder about just because like, Yeah he played at Duke and Tulane but those are not the same as Miami so this is really his first high level D1 experience. I think he totally looks the part, but how many 1 year wonders are there?
Either way, all 3 have a ton of college starts and I think that bodes well.
But in the end, I want Beck to succeed because I’d love to spend the first couple rounds focusing on a couple big defenders and a receiver.

Perhaps we see what are pick from last year does before assuming we take another. Pretty soon we will be the browns. Lol

True but unless he lights it up. History says a 3rd round guy especially in a very bad draft class for QB likely isn’t it.

No way in hell do you skip taking a potential franchise QB in this year’s draft over a “hope and prayer” QB like Beck if he doesn’t play this season.

At this point I amu underwhelmed by the crop of college QBs. So I am hoping against all hope Beck flashes and we can use FA and Draft to stack around him. This is dumb...but I'm hoping there is some secret knowledge in the Cards coaching and front office that Beck is showing he can be the guy and they are just shelving him for longer into the season to preserve his health, confidence, and the high draft picks.
That would be awesome. But even if he isn't just fantastic, he still may be better than what you have coming out of college this draft and you just draft other positions anyway

We have 1 win, so we probably will.end up with the 3rd to 6th overall.... I say draft the best talent, then grab Fifita in the 3rd round

Drew Mestemaker is intriguing. Big arm, mobile, 6’4 and only 20 years old. He’s getting Josh Allen comps and I can see why. He needs to face better competition to gauge how good he really is. You can see the potential in the game against Oregon. He threw a 50yd td off his back foot and a crazy td run as well. He had 2 picks but both were from batted passes.
