She attended the event back in 2021 and we don’t know if she wasn’t invited again or she was but declined.

She did wear the “tax the rich” dress, so I was thinking that caused her trouble, but most celebrities aren’t right-wingers and still go, even with Bezos as an honorary chair of the ceremony.

I consider it significant that AOC even attended such a fundraiser. It could signal to potential large dollar supporters that she'd be willing to do such fundraising events in a 2028 run.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez – U.S. Congress – Summary – OpenSecrets

<< Large Individual Contributions $10,415,443 32.08%

Small Individual Contributions (< $200) $21,547,856 66.36% >>

And AOC during this 2026 cycle had done a lot of 'split a donation between _________ candidate and me' before maybe later promoting donating directly to that candidate she endorses.

Her stop State is California, around 2X her next top State New York.

Here’s the video on YouTube: Here's How Angie is Using AOC's Winning Strategy - Angie Nixon For Florida | Change Can't Wait - Sept 30, 2026 (YouTube)

Description: AOC says the polls had her down 35 points on her first Election Day. She didn't believe them, and she was right. ~:~ Her campaign won by going after the people that consultants and pollsters had already written off because "they don't vote." That was the whole strategy. Find the people nobody else is calling. ~:~ That's our plan in Florida too. If you've been counted out, I'm counting on you. November 3.

We need leadership that wants to hold elite institutions accountable. Leaders who are vocal about the damage done through the acceptance of systemic violence. Leaders who will humanize the victims and make plain what it looks like when vulnerable people get brutalized by powerful organizations.

A great example of keeping the movement joyful while taking on tough battles.
