Did my normal rewatch of last season before the new one, rewatched the season 10 trailer, and then decided to finally watch Backdraft (idk what took me so long tbh) for the first time, and now, I'm rewatching Volcano.

I don't know whether I should apologise for this or say you're welcome 👀 but it was actually a request from a friend that spiralled from a discussion about writing a 911 Rocky Horror fic.

Seriously, she's been through a lot.

Et Tu? sounds like an episode surrounding betrayals of some kind because it comes from the line in Julius Caesar, in the assassination scene as Brutus betrays Caesar.

And Who's Your Daddy? is probably gonna be all about Buck and Theo, but they chose a kitschy tongue in cheek almost sexual title because... this is 9-1-1 and Tim likes throwing people off with his titles.

Season 8 episode 15. It was spoiled for me a while ago, when I started watching season 1 and I was okay with it, wasn’t super attached yet, always kept it in the back of my mind. But then it actually happened and then Work Song by Hozier started playing and now I’m genuinely sobbing. I hate that it happened but wow best needle drop in the whole series by far. Completely gutted me.

Hello there, I'm a new fan and I just finished watching season three. Why does Athena always work alone? Is it even legal to not have a partner on patrol in the USA? Did the writers just not want to add another cop character?

I'd like to understand, because I had been wondering for a while. After watching Athena's assault I feel justified in thinking that it makes no sense for her to always be alone.

As I’ve been watching this series, I have to say there are some explicit and graphic violent scenes that definitely surprised me. And when I say surprised I’m talking about how the network allowed it to air despite the show airing at prime time on a broadcast network and therefore under FCC regulations.

One such notable scene is the motorcyclist who got sliced in half at the waist in S1 E10. When Athena tells Bobby what happened, I was expecting them to only show his upper body with the lower part covered up (which the show did). However, I was not expecting to see a shot of his lower half with internal organs and blood spilling onto the street.

Other scenes include Lou and Maddie’s throat being sliced open and then profusely bleeding out to near death in S5 E1 and S8 E10 respectively. Usually shows and movies pan the shot away and do it off screen before the actual slice is made. I mean that’s what House of Cards, which was a streaming series, did.

Do you think the show always planned to have Hen drop out of medical school or was she supposed to start the hospital based arm of the show? The reason for the change always felt weak to me.
