Showcase Masterful Dungeon Tiles Update [OC]
I am almost done with the recreation of my Dungeon Tiles.
Version 2 is going to be be the best I have ever made.
- Fully modular - A small collection of core pieces can build everything, with variants for aestethic or specialist purposes
- Sturdy - Build whole rooms/buildings/dungeons/towns and move them as complete sets or split them as you like
- Use clips and magnets interchangeably
- A unique wall system with versatility - Place walls where you want, prioritizing space for minis or easy builds. Walls can be places on top of tiles or in between
- Many more features
And in this latest video I announce my biggest undertaking yet: A fully digital Dungeon Builder with my tiles as the foundation. Build your own dungeons, print the pieces, or play in the dungeon online with your friends.

Question Need some help finding a good STL range for a village/diorama
Hi,
I’m pretty new to this and would love to build a larger village (pirate harbour or some other nice diorama) as a long-term project.
I really like the printing, assembling and painting part, but I’m honestly hopeless at designing stuff myself and also not great at finding lots of separate models that actually look like they belong together.
I’m trying Clorehaven/OpenLOCK at the moment and like it so far.
Is there a creator or range you’d recommend if I want buildings, roads, walls, scatter, furniture etc. that all work well together?
Thank you!

Crowdfunding My modular ruin set
After months of modeling, my new ruin set is finally finished. This is by far the largest scenery project I’ve ever painted, and the whole painting process took around 10 days. Painting all those stones, wooden beams, and rooftops was quite a challenge, but seeing everything come together made it worth it.
Hope you guys enjoy it! Let me know what you think!
It's currently live on Kickstarter, you can follow the link if you’d like to see more details!

Showcase I've finally released all the base designs I've been working on!
Hey everyone!
I've been working on a collection of 3D printable miniature bases for a while, and I've finally managed to get everything published on my website!
There are currently 20+ themes and 30+ base sizes, ranging from forests and ice to lava, ruins, sci-fi and more.
A lot of the work goes into making the bases procedurally, so I can create different shapes and sizes while keeping each base unique but still coherent with the rest of the army.
Everything is designed using traditional procedural modelling techniques in Houdini no AI-generated designs or assets involved, just 3D modelling, testing, printing and a lot of tweaking.
Here's a look at the collection! I'd love to hear what you think.
Everything is available as STL files here: https://closeeyesstudio.com
Thanks for checking it out!

Showcase The Death House Interior
After what feels like thousands of hours I've finally finished (most) of the painting on this terrain build.
Instead of printing out pictures to put into the picture frames I decided to hand paint little caricatures instead.
Overall this was an amazing project but it has been sooo much work from design, test printing, play testing and painting.

Crowdfunding Some new pics of my Shardstone City Folding terrain project!
I got some amazing new photos from my photographer this week, and wanted to share them with this group, these printable ruins print flat and fold together using a simple cornerstone clip, you can fit them in a shoebox & print each one with around 20g of filament in an hour or two, making them one of the most practical printable pieces of terrain available - print a whole gaming table with 1kg of filament! There are freebies for followers too, so head on over and click "Notify me on Launch" to follow the project here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/warscape/shardstone-city-shattered-streets-printable-folding-ruins

Question Modern Terrain
I have a genuine question: why aren't there more 28-32mm tile sets and terrain pieces for modern, near-future, or post-apocalyptic game systems/settings? Is there just not a market for them? Are the models just too difficult or tedious to make? I'm genuinely wondering why.
Suburbs, strip malls, big box stores, downtown offices and municipal buildings. All of these would make great set pieces, provide more immersion, and give skirmishes more depth. I would love to run campaigns in the above genres and/or settings, but I can't find more than a few creators who make these kinds of models.
Ideally, they would be have playable interiors and exteriors. I've been able to find a few like this, but most of the few models in the modern category are just set dressing and not actually playable - spaces are too small, interiors are absent, or they're scaled for different systems (e.g. 6-15mm).
I've looked everywhere I can think of: Kickstarter, Backer Kit, MMF, Cults3d, CG Trader, STL Finder, Yeggi, and all the free platforms. I've searched for stuff in adjacent hobbies that might be usable, like rail road boards, dollhouses, and dioramas. Aside from a few notable exceptions - well-known companies like Corvus and Saucerman, as well as impressive Kickstarter campaigns like Dani Amengual and LambdaFive - there just aren't nearly as many of these models as there are in fantasy, cyberpunk, and sci-fi.

Question Looking for modular wooden walls
As the title says, I’m trying to find a set of modular walls that look like wood, ideally using the OpenLock system. I’ve searched Printable Scenery, MakerWorld, and MyMiniFactory amongst others, and haven’t been able to find anything suitable. The closest I find was the OpenForge Tudor set, but the walls have a stucco pattern.
Any help or suggestions would be much appreciate!
