Xport ODE updates.

Its been a few years since Fixel unleashed this on the masses. Im curious if anyone has taken up the mantle of making a better menu for it? I know other projects like the Saturn Satiator have had alternative menus created by others.

A new menu is being worked on to have more functionality. Whether the aesthetics look modern I couldn’t tell you.

I believe a few people came up with a way to change the menu music but that is all I have seen or heard.

I’m running off a Mnemo. I’d be happy with your level of customization, the Mnemo menu looks like DOS (works great though, got to give it credit for that).

While I cant comment on the official ODE kits, using the Crown Arcade ODE kit, menu performance and stability highly depends on what type of USB stick you use, and how you set up your USB stick as far as sub folders goes, and how many games per folder etc. It also helps to set up everything on a different hard drive on your PC and copy paste it all at once, instead of drag/dropping a few games at a time to your USB stick.

Considering that it sold very little, hasn’t been made or or sold in two years, and Fixel seems to have no use for it, I’d guess no. It’s too bad too, because it was a really cool piece of hardware.

He kept saying there would be an update for anvil but never released it. I even talked to him about it a few times, kind of bummed. Mine has been plugged into a 3DO for years waiting for an update to make it functional.

Is your external or internal? I use an external and its been working fine on the available menu/fw. I was just thinking that enough time had passed and maybe someone else created something in that time.

External. Some games work, it depends on when it was released. Later games support Anvil so they play fine. For the ones that don't, fixel was working on an update but the just went silent about it.
