Wasn't Curonian a West Baltic language?
Afaik they kept original diphthongs like -ou- and -ei- instead of turning them into -uo- and -ie- like East Baltic did. And also when monophthongisizing they preferred the letter -o- instead of -u-, and it's also likely that they called themselves Kóršē instead of Kuršē
I'm talking about that Belarussian territories are "Lithuanians" and Lithuanian territories (excl Dzūkija and half of Žemaitija) are "Samogitians", helpful for litvins when arguing who were the Lithuanians in LDK/GDL
Although I wrote that comment as a joke, I know it doesn't work like that
