TV Upscaling episodes of the "Bakugan" cartoon show
Good day.
Recently, after watching all my childhood shows, I found Bakugan and it is not in really good shape. The show doesn't even have a 720p release and is stuck at 480p resolution. Looked everywhere, even on paid platforms, nothing. So I decided to upscale at least 1st and 2nd season by myself.
Here is the link for playlist with upscaled episodes: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFZIicoHXCzE
There are 2 kinds of upscale methods I use:
Easy and fast, that does not require any work from me, only rendering on PC. It takes 50 minutes and it's good enough, but the cost is fat lines, which are not very noticeable unless you try to compare them to the original. Aaaand there is a long and hard way that brings much higher quality. No fat lines and everything is crispy sharp, but it leaves a lot of visual artifacts on small details that I need to get rid of manually in Adobe After Effects. It's far more time-consuming: rendering upscaled episode takes like 5 hours and 3 hours in AE to delete artifacts.
Examples: The easy and fast way - Episode 1 - 2 And the hard good looking way - Episode 3 - 4 or 21 - 22
Hope you gonna like it. Even better if you watched this show in late 2000s and have good memories about it.

Movies What was it really like being a teenager in the Midwest in 2007? Researching for an indie film.
Hi! I'm an aspiring filmmaker born in 2001, currently developing a coming-of-age film set in suburban Missouri in 2007.
My protagonist is a 17-year-old girl from an upper-middle-class family. I'm trying to better understand what her everyday life might have looked and felt like, especially the smaller details that movies tend to overlook.
I'm particularly curious about three things:
- Bedrooms and personal style: What did your room look like? How did you decorate it? What clothes, accessories, or belongings were important to you?
- Daily routines: What did you do when you got home from school, when you were bored, or when you had the house to yourself? What phone or technology did you use?
- Social life: Where did you spend time with friends? What did weekends look like, especially if you lived in a suburb?
I'm especially interested in hearing from women who were around 16–18 in 2007, particularly those who grew up in Missouri or elsewhere in the Midwest.
I'm not looking for a general list of 2000s trends as much as personal memories and experiences. The mundane, oddly specific, nostalgic, or even uncanny details that have stayed with you.
If you have any old photographs, bedroom pictures, or other visual references you're comfortable sharing, I'd love to see those too.
Thank you! :)
TL;DR: I'm researching everyday teenage life around 2007 for a coming-of-age film. I'm especially interested in personal memories of bedrooms, fashion, hobbies, phones, friendships, family life, and local hangouts.
I'd love to hear from anyone who was a teenager or young adult during that time, regardless of gender. Looking for specific, nostalgic, or oddly memorable details rather than general 2000s trends. Photos and visual references are welcome too!

Technology I rebuilt Windows Live Messenger so I could use it with WhatsApp. Nudges included.
I missed the old Messenger enough to rebuild it as a Chrome extension that sits on top of WhatsApp Web. Contact list, personal messages, the original emoticons and winks, nudges that shake the window, handwriting, even the games. Friends don't need anything, they just get normal WhatsApp messages.
And if your friends installes it they got the winks drawing correctly you could play games online i've tried to do exact match (L)

Music What little thing brings the early 2000s back for you?
youtu.beFor me, it’s the glow of a computer screen in a quiet bedroom, with snow falling outside. Or being half asleep in the backseat while the radio plays softly and streetlights move across the window. Those little moments hit different now.
I live in Paris and work as a restaurant chef. After a long shift, I like putting music on the TV while I lie down and unwind. Nothing too intense—just something that makes the room feel comfortable and lets my brain slow down.
Eventually, I started making my own. Mostly lying in bed with my phone, using CapCut and a few other apps, putting together music and scenes I wanted to have playing in the background. I kept coming back to the early 2000s.
The funny thing is, making these videos has made me question my memory. Some details come back so clearly. Others feel familiar until I look closer and think, “Wait, was it actually like that?” Sometimes I think I’m remembering a whole era through one cozy afternoon.
I grew up in Ukraine, where the ’90s often felt rough and uncertain. The early 2000s seem gentler in my memory. September 11 made the world feel frightening, even from far away, but I still remember having some faith in the future. A feeling that things could work out. I wonder how much of that belonged to the time, and how much came from being young.
Maybe that’s what I’m trying to find again when I put these videos on after work. A quiet room, some music, and that feeling that I can rest for a while.
This little hobby became a channel called Lost Years Archive. I use AI to generate the music and visuals, then choose and edit everything around a scene. I’m learning as I go and trying to make each video feel a little closer to what I have in mind.
If you’re curious, here’s what I’ve been making: https://www.youtube.com/@lostyearsarchive
What brings that time back for you? The sound of AIM? A particular song playing in someone’s car? Coming home from school and knowing you had the whole afternoon ahead of you?
And do the early 2000s feel cozy to you too, or do you remember them completely differently? I’d love to hear the oddly specific stuff.

TV Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction (1997-2002) - new recap podcast out now!
galleryWas anyone else super into this show in the early 2000s? It was kind of like a more lighthearted Unsolved Mysteries where some of the stories were supposedly "fact" and some were fiction. It's hosted by Jonathan Frakes (except for season 1) and the acting in the segments is truly hilarious.
Great news, the whole series is on YouTube and it's super fun to rewatch (especially during Halloween season!!)
If you wanna dive deeper into the Beyond Belief universe, I'm recapping the show with my sister on our new podcast, "Beyond Believers"! We're competing to see who can guess the most facts vs fictions and researching the "true" stories. Beyond Believers is out now wherever you get your podcasts, as well as at this link!
I also started a Beyond Belief subreddit if anyone's interested in talkin' Frakes: r/BeyondBeliefShow
