Best comment I’ve seen yet this year 😂

Bless you. Let's keep it up all year

Sounds like you might add a fifth beer. Or, maybe we all need shots while the starter pitch.

Pirates are bad but fun Im having a good time watching them. And will have an even better time when Newman and Tucker aren’t starting everyday.

So next year then

That Reynolds triple added three years to my lifespan

We, seemingly out of nowhere, have one of the best pens in baseball, Crowe, Bednar, Peters, Hembree are all crushing it

16

u/TeamMemberDZ-015 Apr 22 '22

It is a pleasant surprise. It would be nice if we didn't always put them in the hole with our starters falling apart for a big early inning thrashing.

At this point we should just take TB’s approach and have openers and let the bullpen handle the rest (we kind of are anyways I guess)

It 's something to crowe about ...

Crowe's Nest is solid

Having fun watching the Bucs is back on the menu boys. Also FUCK THE CUBS

16

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '22

This bullpen makes watching pitching more interesting than watching us when we’re actually batting

I'm starting to like the idea of Vogelbach at DH crushing the ball in these NL central ballparks. He could hit 30+ if he can keep getting the ball in the air

2

u/millerba213 Apr 22 '22

He's been a pleasant surprise to be sure.

I'm greedy, I want at least 3 out of 4 from the Cubs. Let's go boys, make 'em have to dust off that shitty W flag next week against somebody else!

FLY THE L!

u/crackisntwack Apr 22 '22

Let’s go can’t wait until we add more offense when Cruz is called up. Him, Reynolds & Hayes will form one of the best young trios in the NL the next few years at least

11

u/TeamMemberDZ-015 Apr 22 '22

I can't wait to see if Contreras or Yajure can add some muscle to the rotation, and if Keller or Wilson can at least show some of their past level of performance (Wilson) or their potential (Keller).

We can't consistently spot the opponent several runs & rely on bats & bullpen. There has to be some improvements in the starting rotation that are sustainable if we are to avoid a 95-102 loss season.

6

u/darksideofdagoon Apr 22 '22

Cruz isn’t exactly lighting AAA on fire, might be best to let him sit for a bit

1

u/crackisntwack Apr 22 '22

Might be the case but can’t be worse than what Cole Tucker is providing

14

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '22

I haven't been watching the standings much at all. Took a glance, I know it's really early but sheesh Cinci ain't looking so hot.

4

u/Bigdadyk Apr 22 '22

Cincinnati traded away all their good players

7

u/[deleted] Apr 22 '22

Yeah I mean obviously they're going for a rebuild, but it's nice that we're not at the bottom of the NL Central rn.

4

u/Bigdadyk Apr 22 '22

There’s a good chance we finish 3rd ahead of Chicago

A Cubs fan put together a cool website to show if Seiya Suzuki got a hit tonight.

Looks like they won't need to update it today. https://seiya-hit.herokuapp.com/
