I started a small challenge connected with data collection - I want to check how much gold I can get under specific restrictions. My current setup:

24 alts (13 skinners , 10 abundance farmers, 1 alt for AH - posting what I get from skinners only, no flips, xrealm trading etc- simple selling what I get)

Skinners setup:

Tools/accessories 232 ilvl tool perception

Talen tree - 20/x - summoning beasts from my main account

Restrictions

1) no more skinners

2) skinners are allowed to do abundance

3) abundance alts can do only abundance

3) 24 days

4) only void majestic beasts

5) one gold WQ allowed (the one in the umber fang area where you need to fly and kick bats (or whatever it is:) ))

Data Collection:

I'm using Ledgerlite for in-game collection and after some background magic the data is visible on my Google data studio dashboard Xczh alt challenge

Goal:

I set the initial goal to 1 mln gold and then I want to calculate GPH - I have an addon to register time spent on each character daily.

The second goal is to prove to myself that it's better than a concentration alt army with a similar size:) - I hope to get some data from you about it

And finally to have some fun and learn more about data analysis and report preparation, maybe it will be useful - I heard some of you need 5 mln gold:) maybe this is the best or worst way to achieve it.

Set a reddit reminder for 24 days and check it

In my data studio you can see a list of add-ons I'm using for skinning farms - most of them were created (vibecoded) by me to optimize my daily skinning routine (36 skinners on my main account)

you are 100% right, but for abu you have a toy which is teleporting you exactly next to enterance - so teleport - pickup the quest - 3 min and it's done 2k+ for other you need to do other/longer activities. so for someone with few alts it's greate but more alts = you want to limit the activities to minium for bigger profit - coz you want to play the game also not only gold farm :)

It's second account it's an extra activity which doubles what I'm already doing. So if you look on the first day 13 Skinner's with 1h time investment gave 63k gold and it's GPH metric, but at te same time I get similar amount of gold on the main account from the same activity, so for challenge it's 63k but for me in practice it's 120k GPH. Meaning for example in 3-4 days subscription is covered and the rest is just raw gold on the table. it's not stable gold of course because it's drop and raw mats price dependent, but still sound good from the gold perspective imo

Hey, this sounds like a cool project! I’ll definitely be following along here. What exactly do you mean by the Abundance stuff? I'm not really familiar with that event how do you actually make gold through it?

It's just weekly 3 min run on each character for the ~2k bag. Sorry I thought it will be easy to understand by everyone but seems not:) it's coded in my main as abundance from the every begging of midnight

Easy thing is the math behind it

23 chars * 2k gold * 3 weeks and the same for time investment, which does sounds great but it's background activity

Do you also count the reagent bags you can buy with unalloyed abundance? Or are you prepping them for crafting epic tools?

To be honest totally forgot about it, maybe I'll do it as separate metic to not mess with the data, account was active first month of the Midnight and for sure I did some abundances so the currency was earned before. Thanks for remaining it exists!

Gold behind it is changing the perspective a little. It's same as concentration alt army, not funny at all but it's top of the top if you look at gold making methods popularity, not to mension uldaman farm, decors market etc running dungeon over and over or flying from tree to tree doesn't sound fun also, the difference is with gold you can get when you compare time needed to farm, post or repost auctions

Sinceramente tengo solo un desollador la idea de ir con cada personaje a la zona de cebo me da una pereza terrible y dejar estacionado el alt en la zona de cebo tampoco me hace gracia porque de igual forma tendría que ir a la ciudad para hacer mis pedidos de mecenas con mi otra profesión y la idea de solo tener desuello en mi alt sin otro profesión me hace sentir que estoy botando oro hahaha

I calculate based on time spent on each character+ adding 90sec - one of the reasons of adding - it's not possible to start registering session before loading screen ends

Then I skin each day on 13 chars and skinned reagents are sent to my ah character - willboosty - this char is posting only reagents skinned from skinners.

Once item is sold and I can retrieve gold, each transaction is registered - so it's accurate gold income after ah cut - leadgerlite is doing it.

And finally,

I have 2 source of data 1) gold income with source split - mail = ah 2) time spent on each skinner daily

So the calculation is simple here Goldtotal from mail / total time spent +90 sec for each alt daily = gph from the skinners.

Nah, I never waiting for summon, I'm doing it on two accounts at the same time, so my core account is placing the lures ( unless beast is already summoned) - this is also the second reason why I'm adding 90 sec, we can call it leeching simulation.
