I made Blackboard look cool

Hey WP, I made an extension called Glaze that gives Blackboard Ultra a makeover.

Custom colors, dark themes, nicer fonts, backgrounds, and frosted-glass effects. Basically, you can make it look like something you'd actually want to open.

It also has a few useful extras like deadline countdowns and folder previews, but making Blackboard look cool is the main idea.

Works with Chrome and Safari on Mac. Open source, no analytics, no extra account.

Here's what it looks like + how to get it

If you try it, let me know what you think. Curious what themes people come up with.

Online MBA

Can anybody that took the online MBA program give me their experiences? Did you feel like you got a lot from it? Are the 3 credit classes generally the 20/hr/week workload that it says they are. How many classes seem to be manageable for somebody working a full time 9-5?

Appreciate any insight :)

Survey request: disabled or chronically ill current or recent higher education students, undergrad or graduate!

Post image
0 Upvotes

My name is Clara Mey and I am a PhD candidate at the University of Delaware. I am conducting a research study about disabled students’ experiences with disability accommodation processes in higher education for my dissertation. As a disabled graduate student, this topic is particularly important to me!

Please see the flyer linked here: Disability and Higher Ed Research Flyer

William Paterson University was randomly selected as part of my analysis for my dissertation, and I wanted to make sure that students at the randomly selected universities/colleges had the opportunity to participate in my research!

In order to participate, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have attended college or graduate school in the US within the last five years
  • Self-identify as disabled or having a chronic health or mental health condition

You do not need a formal diagnosis, and you can participate whether or not you registered or applied for accommodations!

If you agree, you will be asked to complete an anonymous online survey taking about 20 minutes. You may also choose to enter into a drawing for one of five $20 gift cards at the end of the survey. If you choose to enter, your email will not be associated with your survey responses.

If you would be interested in participating in this study or would like to learn more, please click the link here: Disability and Higher Education Survey. And if you know people who might be interested, feel free to share this information!

If you have any questions, please contact me at [csmey@udel.edu](mailto:csmey@udel.edu) or my advisor, Dr. Eric Rise, at [erise@udel.edu](mailto:erise@udel.edu). Or feel free to comment or message me here!

Thank you!

Question For students who are currently in the traditional BSN program (not ABSN), could you please share what your schedule is like?

I’m specifically interested in the in-person classes. I know there is an option to take some classes online, but I’m old school 😂 and I learn much better when I’m actually in the classroom. I’m also trying to figure out if the schedule would realistically work for me.

I’m transferring from Bergen Community College, and I’ve already completed my prerequisites there, so I would only have the last two years of the program, which are mainly focused on nursing classes

If you’re currently in the program, would you mind sharing what days and times you usually have classes, how many days a week you’re on campus, and what your clinical schedule looks like, including the days and times? I’d also love to know if the schedule changes a lot from semester to semester.
I would really appreciate it! Thank you! ❤️

My daughter does not drive yet however, I'm fearing that dorming would not be advisable because I've heard it is a commuter school. Can anyone lend any comment to their ability to make friends if they were commuter? thanks in advance

Question MFA Questions

Hello!

So I was recently accepted here for my MFA in Visual Arts. I am also accepted for a graduate assistantship. I want to know if anyone is in the program or has graduated from it?

I mainly want to know about the structure. Mainly because I noticed the classes are five hours long?? That seems like an extremely long time and I wasn’t sure if you have to be in the class the entire time?

Also just how everything is structured. I feel unsure of the program at the moment since everything feels slightly disorganized.

Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!

Graduate Assistantship

Hi, have any of you received a letter of graduate assistantship yet? I just got into my master's graduate program for clinical psych and counseling and was wondering if anyone's received an offer or when they were told an offer would come out or when financial aid information in general comes out.

HI my name is Anyah, and I’m a 22 I am a first generation college student. I am in my last year of college but because of financial hardship I haven’t been able to register for my last set of classes. I work all while taking 6 classes and my job is just not covering it. I would really appreciate it if anyone could donate to my GoFundMe and anything will help from $5-500. I have been delayed before due to financial issues and I just want it to be over with.

Is the Education program good? Is it worth it to dorm here?

I am a prospective student that is looking at multiple universitys. I am pretty set on Montclair and Stockton right now but I was wondering how good the Education program is at William Paterson and if the dorms are good and also if the dorms are worth it.

Would anyone be interested in joining a club

I'm trying to start a club and need about 10 more signatures. It's a club where we can discuss music(primarily alternative music) and politics. I plan on doing this weekly thing called album of the week where we discuss a specific album. I'll have people put the name of an album they like into a wheel and whatever gets picked will be the album we discuss the next meeting. I have other activities planned for the club so if anyone wants to join just dm me.
