some Russians have deeply ingrained subconscious belief that the world revolves around Russia and Russian language & culture

Americans do that, too, but at least English is genuinely widespread

tbf Russian speaking playerbase in games like cs and dota are really huge, I'd assume it's even more than English speaking one. And Russian is one of the most spoken on the Internet as well, so it's kinda fair

in games maybe, but a non-insignificant amount of Russians feel like world revolves around Russia IRL as well
