I still think it’s funny that X-men: First Class acted like Magneto killing Kevin Bacon was his heel turn villain origin moment even though doing so saved millions of lives
Possibly even billions? I still like the movie a lot so I’m not shitting on it, but I sorta find the whole Cuban missile crisis sequence funny
Sebastian Shaw was an immortal Nazi who was mere moments away from setting off a nuclear explosion and starting WW3, Erik killed him with no civilian casualties, and Xavier still threw a hissy fit about it. This wasn’t even a trolley problem where killing Shaw came with some sort of other consequence. But the movie acted like killing Super Hitler was the moment Erik went to the dark side. Erik was never even presented with a nonlethal option so I don’t even know what else Xavier (or the writers) expected him to do.
I wouldn’t even consider the scene where he tried to blow up the ships evil considering they were the aggressors and he was just defending himself (and his friends). Poor Magneto saved Charles’ life twice in less than a few minutes and he still had to get lectured about it. He never even got a thank you lol.

Get that man out of jail he was right!
I made it after years of pondering and James was right. It’s genuinely pretty good. When he’s back from break let him out of jail.

I don't think I've ever laughed at the pod as much as I just did while listening to them mock the idea of a movie based on UNO.

Recent rant about why CEOs etc are like that
I know it was recent, last few eps - James talks about how CEOs and politicians are horrible because you have to be a horrible person just to accept the job in the first place.
I want to show the rant to a friend but I don't know like, where in the episode or which episode it is to look for and I don't have enough time tonight to dig through hours of podcast lol
Anyone have any idea where to find it?

RJ Mitte, ‘Breaking Bad’ Star, Dies at 34
https://www.thewrap.com/creative-content/tv-shows/rj-mitte-breaking-bad-dies-at-34/
I know the boys covered El Camino and have mentioned Breaking Bad in their Fan Theories episode, and I was also hoping to get a full Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul episode from them. Rest in peace to an actor from one of my favorite shows of all time.
(sorry if I posted this poorly, I’ve never posted an article to Reddit before)

Social networking sites keep banning James
First, Twitter bans him because of all the crypto scams he did. Now Facebook deletes his personal account because of some undisclosed reason. I don’t know what he did, but it can’t be good!
When will this crook bloke stop terrorizing our beloved social networking sites??

The Crook Blokes Play some Street Fighter.

For non-Big-Sandwich listeners, a word of warning
On the upcoming episode, when you hear Uno get mentioned, make sure you're not around anyone who you wouldn't mind seeing you chortle. Get somewhere safe immediately. I was in public and it was rough.
It's 100% making it into the best-of clip show. You've been warned.

How do you feel about the choice to start the God of War TV series with the Norse saga rather than the Greek saga?
I think it's a very weird decision. It would be like starting Breaking Bad at season 4 or starting Michael Corleone's story at Godfather 2. You needed to see how much of a dork that Walter White was for his transition to Heisenberg to have impact.
Seeing Kratos as a guy who is trying to control his anger and set a good example for his son is a lot less impactful if we never saw him as an unhinged rage monster who killed millions of people. I know they can do flashbacks, but that seems like a LOT of story to cover in flashbacks.
I'll still watch it cause Bautista is a really good actor but I'm very skeptical
