To be fair, the photos linked look wayyy more yellow. I’d buy that dress and be pissed when I got it in the mail. Then choose NOT to wear it, because you know… common courtesy/sense.
But it’s so clear that the picture in this thread has been edited. Both the contrasts and whiteness have been messed with so I’m willing to bet it looked more like the linked photos IRL than the photo posted here 🙈 Not saying it wouldn’t have been too close to white for some people, but where I’m from it would’ve easily passed as acceptable 😅
But you can easily see that the colours in this photo have been manipulated in editing? Lower contrast or more shadows in the back and then upping the whiteness and/or brightness for the front. Which would make the dress lighter than it is IRL. There are also people on this thread who own the dress who says it’s more yellow IRL 🙈
It's crazy, but both colors look absolutely awful the way the site has photographed and presented them. It looks like something you'd get off Temu for $4.75. The dress actually on the person in OP's photo looks so much better. This brand is really shooting themselves in the foot by having such terrible product photos.
Okay, but in those pictures it looks appropriate for a wedding, in my opinion. I could imagine really loving it in those pictures, ordering it and when it arrives and looks white in certain lighting, refusing to believe my eyes and trying to make it work somehow. I know, I am doing the most her to defend her! But maybe she really only has lighting at home where it looks yellow and only noticed when she arrived at the wedding that it does not look like that everywhere?
I mean yeah, it's yellow, but it's such a pale yellow that it looks closer to like, cream or ivory which is probably too close to white for anybody that isn't the bride.
I thought I was taking crazy pills or something. I didn't even know what the problem was supposed to be until I got to the comments that claim "don't wear white" apparently means don't wear anything lighter colored at all. If you don't want people to wear shades of any color you should be more specific
Right?? I don’t get why people are so incensed. Even without looking at the link to the dress where it is even more yellow, this is a beautiful pale yellow dress and is not a wedding dress style at all. This argument is pathetic.
She should be happy someone went out of their way to attend her narcissistic attention seeking self love fest and stop making everything about herself.
AND if you take the regular fit insteaf of petite, you get light blue, dark blue, lilac and pink as options, in addition to the non suitable yellow and a bright red!
With this, I defend her. (her decision, not the outcome.) I 100% could see myself ordering that yellow dress & thinking nothing of it. It arrives, try it on, all good in the indoor yellow lighting in your house. Get ready, head to wedding. Step out into bright natural lighting & oh shit.
