I have a gift card that is exactly the value of the ATFF ebook. Is it worth it to read it via ebook? Kinda wanna try it via ebook before committing to the full thing.

For everyone who is just itching to get their hands on the book, if you find ATFF on the Libby app and click "read sample" you should be able to read the first 270 pages of the first volume.

My guess is that the sample is based on the page count of all 4 volumes together and ends up being most of the first volume. I don't know if this works if your library hasn't added it yet. My library added it to the system but doesn't yet have any copies available to borrow. Either way, I am still able to access the sample.

EDIT: Got the acronym wrong in the title, oops. EDIT2: I got my physical copy today and confirmed that the sample is actually 270 pages long, still long, but not 700 pages long.

I know Vollmann has been talked about on and off over the years as a potential candidate and it seems like this might be the last time (or two) he could receive one.

Anyone purchase their copy after the release was pushed via Target and receive their order already? I see a lot of people on here getting their Target orders but it seems like maybe they already had them placed before the release date was pushed. I just cancelled my Amazon and placed through Target so I am hoping to the gods that it arrives fairly quick.

I know people are posting they got their pre-orders already but I got off work and had nice surprise waiting for me! I was expecting target might be delayed but it came in. It was packaged very carefully so it came in great condition, already cracked vol 1 open :)
