So far, of the games I’ve played, it’s RE9: Requiem.

I’ve played First Light and really liked it, but the post story content is lackluster and the final boss really wasn’t great.

I’ve played Crimson Desert for a bit. The lackluster narrative combined with utterly shit controls made me refund it.

Code Vein 2 was also a refund for me. Just wasn’t giving me the vibes I had in the first game and I found myself mildly bored.

Replaced and Well Dweller are FANTASTIC indie games I’d recommend checking out if you’re unfamiliar. Not as big a hit for me as RE9 but still absolutely worth looking into.

I’ve been enjoying NTE but no Gatcha really deserves to be GOTY in my opinion. It’s fun, but not anyone’s showstopper worthy of recommendation.

Well said on First Light 👏🏻

I'm a huge sucker for bond films/games - really enjoyed the training montage and beginnings, but some of the later story felt rushed.

The other criticism I’d add is that the vehicle sections weren’t good enough for me. I look back at some of my favorites like 007: Nightfire and this new entry didn’t live up to those older vehicle sections

Ive been seriously considering well dweller, glad to hear it's great! Is it a challenging game? I know most of his games aren't, but crypt custodian had some difficulty options, and I fuckin love that game. So im hoping well dweller does as well. And it's not super easy. Only reason i waited to get it, is it's between that and the new castlevania, I was just waiting for it to release, and see what the general consensus is on it. And make my decision then.

I found it much easier than Hollow Knight on Normal difficulty, but you can change to Easy or Hard anytime.

What was a little challenging was how you heal in the game. You get this little Dead By Daylight style generator skill check everytime you want to heal. I figured out late into the game you can just change that to “hold to heal” in the settings if that bothers you. The game lets you buy markers to help remind yourself where shit is, great if you play a different game at the same time and forget what you were doing.

It’s super charming. I probably could’ve bumped up the difficulty a touch but otherwise it’s not an annoying Metroidvania. I’d recommend it if you’re already into those games 👍

Requiem excellence in gameplay, but not story . Story is confusing . Motivation of protagonists are questionable.

Crimson Deserts story got updated like a month ago, I haven’t gone through it but apparently it’s decent now? But yeah the controls are kinda insane. I got used to them but still.

I heard it got some updates and that there’s some huge DLC coming out soon. If everyone’s singing its praises and I turn into that meme of Squidward looking out the window, I might give it a second chance… but probably not. I’m not looking to start some big open world game with GTA6 on the horizon, which would immediately supersede it by the time I got to the DLC probably.
