Not just explosion but physics in general, for the first game Instead of buildings just crumbling and disappearing in smoke they could actually collapse with rubble or bigger destruction physics. Like there’s so much sandbox capabilities with today’s hardware and technology!

Imagine the ability to actually go into the buildings and blasting holes in them, that would be sick, just heading into a north Korean owned building with c4 and just leveling that shit while fighting them off

Even just a tuned down version of the older Bad Company 2 Frostbite engine would be perfect for Mercenaries. That or the EDF 6 engine, maybe.
