Huh, you made me wonder if his record still stands, it feels kinda crazy that it still does. But actually looking at his times compared to others, it makes sense. He really was a once in a lifetime athlete.
Shareholders love short term gains more than anything. Leaning into gutting console manufacturing and laying off everyone involved, consequences be damned, will produce a lot of short term gains.
And frankly, the shareholders won't see the line go up as much as they want, pretty much no matter what any of these companies do. Endless, uninterrupted growth is unsustainable 🤷♂️ not to mention impractical, this late in the game.
I doubt it, I don’t think XBOX has ever really been about the consoles themselves, or at least not since they had XBOX live. I’m pretty sure after XBOX live everything became about selling games and subscriptions.
Now, while I will say, they are definitely financially hurting from buying all those games studios, I don’t believe they really have that much of an issue with people not buying the console, as long as they can pull you in through the subscriptions, some of their flagship games or the Microsoft store, they will be very happy.
Sadly, and this would disappoint me, but I actually don’t even think they’ll be making consoles as much longer, that’s what I’ve been afraid of it. It’s not that they are going to get rid of XBOX as a brand, but that they’re just gonna get rid of the consoles because that is a very Microsoft thing to do.
You don't need to sell consoles in the long run. You make a lot more money from all the game purchases. And when they are available on all platforms you make even more money... It's almost as if the more places there are to buy something, the more you sell, eg the more money you make.🤯🤯🤯🤯
People say Xbox lost the console wars but the thing is consoles make you lose money. Xbox has made more money than Sony since the 360 every year without fail. PlayStation may be more popular but it has been losing tons of money constantly while Xbox is right they make more than Sony and Nintendo won't expand anymore not really making them ever a big competitor against Xbox.
