People keep saying ps5 has no games, and yet PlayStation keeps releasing bangers. Idk wtf people are talking about. Pc not getting PlayStation games anymore is a huge loss.

118

u/SiliconRouge Jun 03 '26

90% of the games they showed are releasing on most platforms besides Wolv and GoW.

Honestly im more excited for Onimush and Phantom Blade than the exclusive

18

u/HawkBoth8539 Jun 03 '26

Ooh there's a new Onimusha?!

15

u/Sufficient_Ebb_5694 Jun 03 '26

Theres a demo live now. Its so good so far. Its on pc as well.

3

u/truthfulie Jun 03 '26

any good use of dualsense?

2

u/Sufficient_Ebb_5694 Jun 03 '26

Sorry, but im not sure im playing on my Legion Go. I can download it on my ps5 later and try it.

1

u/jujoking Jun 04 '26

I hope that and Phantom Blade use the sense well

0

u/littleemilythrow Jun 03 '26

Remaster I think

5

u/The_Senate15 Jun 03 '26

No I think Way of the Sword is a new game

5

u/ekim_101 Jun 03 '26

There's two, a remaster of 4 and a full on awesome looking remake of 1

-3

u/HawkBoth8539 Jun 03 '26

Oh. That would be disappointing. I'm so tired of being expected to pay for recycled content over and over.

1

u/Orion_824 Jun 03 '26

good news because it isn't

7

u/ItsAllSoup Jun 03 '26

New Rayman looks rad, heard it's only 40 bucks

8

u/Different_Target_228 Jun 03 '26

Until Dawn 2

10

u/Magnon Jun 03 '26

Hasn't that team made like 3-4 mediocre until dawn style games since until dawn 1?

4

u/Holy_Toledo019 Jun 03 '26

No. PlayStation owns Until Dawn. Until Dawn 2 is being made by Firesprite (a PlayStation studio) while Supermassive (original devs) are currently making the Dark Pictures games.

1

u/Alexkitch11 Jun 03 '26

diffetent developers for UD2

1

u/TinyM0ushka Jun 03 '26

The dark pictures games are meh.

The concept is always cool but the story always kinda fizzles out

2

u/Necromir92 Jun 03 '26

I wanted to play saros šŸ˜ž

5

u/Equivalent-Wooden Jun 03 '26

And those two are like the games people give most of a fuck about soo.

1

u/comicallylargeloss Jun 03 '26

and Ghost of Yotei :(

26

u/BobbuBobbu Jun 03 '26

Except it isn't. Between Steam and Game Pass, PC has more games than we know what to do with, at very affordable prices as well.

-15

u/[deleted] Jun 03 '26

[removed] — view removed comment

8

u/Shinnyo Jun 03 '26

No, that's called a fact.

PC has more games and are more affordable thanks to sales and humble bundles.

2

u/Scoobydubyduwhereru Jun 03 '26

That is unrelated to the first comment. The fact that there are a lot more games on PC has nothing to do with the fact that some PS5 exclusives are great and it will be a pity for some people to not be able to play them on PC

-1

u/Shinnyo Jun 03 '26

It's a pity, not a "huge loss".

Because there's enough games to play on PC to skip exclusivities.

3

u/Scoobydubyduwhereru Jun 03 '26

"Huge loss" is up to each one and is, therefore, an opinion. There might be 1 gazillion games out there and they might be great. But if the game I crave the most for is the new God of War, I won't care about the rest.

To give you an example, last year I was searching for a "cheap" PS5 on eBay so that I could play Death Stranding 2. At around that time I had just bought MH World, Kingdom Come 2, Space Marine 2, but I couldn't care less because what I really wanted to play was DS2 which, having finished it last week, is my favorite game of all time. If someone had made me chose between DS2 and 20 other games, I would've chosen DS2

-1

u/ParsonsTheGreat Jun 03 '26

Did you just try to argue that a subjective opinion isn't as valuable as anecdotal evidence? They are both worthless. What a pointless argument lol

2

u/Scoobydubyduwhereru Jun 03 '26

Nope. I don't get where you would get that. I said "to some people it is a huge loss". That's it. One of those people is me. I know others. I don't get why they said that a large number of games means that, factually, it is no longer a huge loss

2

u/AidanBC Jun 03 '26

As someone who is newly (as of 2 years ago) a PC owner and, in huge part, originally bought a PC to play PS exclusives while also getting the side benefits of PC, this is a massive loss and I know for a fact I’m not the only one who’s disappointed I won’t be able to play wolv or the next GoW (especially GoW).

Some of you PC owners get so weird about exclusives, like y’all just call the game trash if you can’t play it. Yes PC is nice and, excluding the price of the hardware, is probably better overall but let’s not kid ourselves, there’s nothing really like the wolverine game or GoW that’s exclusive to PC. There really isn’t any high quality/big-budget blockbuster first party games. Valve used to make games like that but they don’t make jack shit anymore except annoying ass multiplayer games like deadlock.

Just own that it sucks and move on, y’all look pathetic trying to downplay a classic franchise like GoW, as if Santa Monica studio isn’t one of the best out there right now.

0

u/Shinnyo Jun 03 '26

You and some people yes, I never said it was a 0 loss.

I haven't called the game trash as far as I know.

Exclusives sucks, that's my opinion. But I don't feel like I'm devastated if I miss a game or two every year

-4

u/therealzist Jun 03 '26

Oh no I cant play my on rails single player qte wolverine fighting game on pc!

2

u/Scoobydubyduwhereru Jun 03 '26

I mean it's completely subjective what games you want to play and which ones you don't.

1

u/Mierdo01 Jun 03 '26

🤔 No it's not.

8

u/t1nman01 Jun 03 '26

The reason people say this is because it's true in the context of previous PlayStation consoles in this timeframe.

Go any of the previous PlayStations and see the games released in the first 6 years, especially new IP/exclusives and the ps5 is a graveyard in comparison.

It has good games but if this was the first PlayStation console it would be considered a failure due to the lack of game support.

5

u/Tiernoch Jun 03 '26

Yeah, Sony normally has a planned release cadence in mind but the whole PS5 generation has been off. Most games at the start were upscaled PS4 games, then some remasters which while they look nice doesn't stick out on your mind.

Yotei was the first title that got me actively playing my PS5 again.

0

u/Scoobydubyduwhereru Jun 03 '26

You also have to keep in mind the conditions around PS5's release. First of all, 2 of Sony's big titles released months before the PS5 (TLOU2 and Tsushima), and were eventually added to the PS5. The PS5 had on release Spiderman Miles Morales, Demon Souls remake, Sackboy adventure. And months later it got Returnal and Ratchet and Clank. After this, it could be said that COVID slowed down the development of other games, such as Forbidden West, Grand Turismo and GoW Ragnarok.

3

u/BasicClothes6723 Jun 03 '26

People love to complain.

6

u/johnnysilverhand718 Jun 03 '26

Not according to PC sales, its not

9

u/shiawase-89 Jun 03 '26

Bruh it’s been a while since Sony has put out an exclusive I really want. Spider-Man 2 was the last one and that was like 3-2 years ago?

8

u/Dark_Lord4379 Jun 03 '26

Ghost of Yotei came out last year and was really good

7

u/EatsOverTheSink Jun 03 '26

Was it? It seemed like at first everybody was lukewarm over it compared to the first. I’ll have to see if I can borrow it.

5

u/BoondocksSaint95 Jun 03 '26

There was a running gag that the in world exploration clues kept taking us to content TOO enjoyable so that the main antagonists could survive a little longer. It was really fantastic.

5

u/Darth-Sonic Jun 03 '26

Gameplay-wise it’s superior to Tsushima. However, the story is not as good, which is half the reason people liked Tsushima.

2

u/EatsOverTheSink Jun 03 '26

Ah ok. I felt the same way about Horizon.

1

u/Hotpotlord Jun 03 '26

I platinumed both games but even the gameplay was better in Tsushima.

Parrying timing was a lot less memorization and more reactive in the first game.

2

u/Hotpotlord Jun 03 '26

If you believed Reddit vibe, every single PlayStation games are just Ubisoft games with more cutscenes,

1

u/Dark_Lord4379 Jun 03 '26

Well there’s definitely chuds who go wah woman, and tho I haven’t finished it, I do think that the common sentiment is the story isn’t AS good as Ghost of Tsushima, it’s still a good game. It’s just the Mongols story was REALLY good.

1

u/xangbar Jun 03 '26

Game is really great. I went through and got the platinum on it. Scenery is gorgeous, gameplay is fun, and its really easy/fun to get sidetracked in the game. I think I had 20 hours in before I even beat the first of the Yotei Six outside the one you do in the tutorial.

1

u/shiawase-89 Jun 03 '26

Mmmmmm you right, forgot that came out.

1

u/FaceForsaken Jun 03 '26

That was Uncharted 4 for me, lol.

1

u/firewarrior256 Jun 03 '26

Play Ghost of Yotei and get back to me.

0

u/shiawase-89 Jun 03 '26

You gonna be waiting a while. There’s other games I wanna buy but not enough money cause of bills lol

1

u/firewarrior256 Jun 03 '26

Edit: GTA 6.

1

u/firewarrior256 Jun 03 '26

That 13 yr old GTA game be really expensive

1

u/shiawase-89 Jun 03 '26

Omg I’m dumb af lmao 😭🤣

18

u/spderweb Jun 03 '26

There's like a billion plus great games out there already. Sony is only losing sales over this decision.

19

u/Dark_Lord4379 Jun 03 '26

The reason why they did this is because they didn’t make all that much money compared to PS5 purchases. Doubt it’s really hurting their wallets really at all

21

u/SuperLegenda Jun 03 '26

They would've made money if they didn't wait 2-3 years minimum to port any exclusive to PC after the hype period is dead.

6

u/Dark_Lord4379 Jun 03 '26

Not saying I like it but they still need to sell consoles. And they get more money regardless by selling it on their store first than they would selling it on Steam simultaneously due to Steam taking 30%

2

u/10minOfNamingMyAcc Jun 03 '26

"Don't Put All Your Eggs in One Basket"

5

u/Wenex Jun 03 '26

Bro, people that wanted to buy a console already did, PS5 is not something new on the market. By not releasing on PC, they are instantly losing sales, no one is going to spend hundereds of dollars just to play one title

14

u/PIO_PretendIOriginal Jun 03 '26

them moving back to exclusives is not them trying to convince pc players to move to playstation.

its them trying to stop playstation players moving to pc.

2

u/therealzist Jun 03 '26

Interesting view point. Not seen this take anywhere

5

u/Korotan Jun 03 '26

I mean people do for some games which is why they are called System Sellers.
GTA is considered one. PokƩmon is another famous one similar with Mario Kart.

5

u/Wenex Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

You don't have to sit in gaming industry or be good at maths to know that Sony abandoning PC and losing those sales do outweights money they will gain from people who potentially will buy a console because of it.

Its logical net negative if they do not participate. I don't even mind the decision, I have lots of titles I'm currently playing, just sucks to see Sony abandoning PC

0

u/TallanoGoldDigger Jun 03 '26

Nintendo has quality first party games and they don't wait console generations to release new sequels to their IPs

1

u/therealzist Jun 03 '26

I think a few will due to disposable income but what a waste

1

u/AidanBC Jun 03 '26

no one is going to spend hundreds of dollars just to play one title.

No, many will, and plenty already have before. The amount of people I know that got a ps4 back in the day just to play bloodbourne is kinda insane.

Many also bought the switch at launch just to play BOTW. This happens all the time and the PS5 hasn’t really gotten a game like that yet imo, but now it might.

1

u/Wenex Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

I think we both would agree the newest God of War isn't that game. In the future there might be a game or old IP remake

2

u/AidanBC Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

Maybe. I will say it’s definitely not a heavy hitter like GoW 2018 or TLOU 2. But it’s really only a matter of time until the PS5 gets one. And games like wolverine, GoW laufey, and ghost of yotei might not be system sellers on their own but they definitely start adding up.

1

u/enjoyingcurve46 Jun 03 '26

Only people who are either stupid with money or got more than enough money that they dont care to waste would buy it for one game

1

u/Open_Original_2100 Jun 03 '26

Okay how about the PS6. How are you gonna convince PS5 players to buy a PS6 when PC gets everything and is cheaper in the long run? Releasing on PC is just a way to strangle their hardware business in the long term. Yes they make more software sales if they do it, at the risk of their hardware in the future

1

u/Wenex Jun 03 '26

Someone else in this thread said that and I fully agree. If they made this decision whilist releasing PS6 it would make total sense to go full exclusive. It just doesn't make sense to do it now with 5+ year old product

1

u/spderweb Jun 04 '26

So sell on epic where they take less. Or just have your own standalone PC launcher. I hope estly dont care if I need multiple launchers. It doesn't affect my ability to play a game. What does is trying to force me to spend 800$CAD for a console just to play three exclusives. Or in my case, just to play wolverine and eventually the next Spider-Man.

1

u/Dark_Lord4379 Jun 04 '26

Making their own PC launcher which will just inevitably be worse than Steam is just throwing money down the drain. And Epic Games still takes some money too. Again, I don’t LIKE it and personally I think Sony is being incredibly lazy with finding a solution but this is the solution they came to unfortunately

1

u/spderweb Jun 07 '26

Sony has a launcher already though. The interface on a PlayStation. Just move it to PC.

And to say that it'll inevitably be worse than steam is just being a pecimmist. Which means I assume you hate the epic launcher and any other launcher that isn't steam just because it's not steam.

1

u/Dark_Lord4379 Jun 07 '26

I’m not really a hater of Epic Games. I’m just saying that out of every launcher, people generally just prefer Steam which leads to much less traffic to the others. And they’d still need to put the time and money in to make a new one on PC since they can’t just ā€œmoveā€ it

0

u/enjoyingcurve46 Jun 03 '26

ā€œThey need to sell consolesā€ is a horrible way to think about it considering every company besides Nintendo actually loses a good chunk of money for ever single console sale. The real answer is they need more people on their platform so they can make money from every game purchase possible versus on pc where they only get paid if someone buys their game

If every player bought a ps6 when it releases and bought not a single game it would immediately kill PlayStation. They rely on purchases through their store to survive. That store is the only thing keeping them alive. Same goes for xbox

2

u/lordofmetroids Jun 03 '26

Yeah this is the issue.

They released their games to PC years later, and charged $70 for them, then they were surprised PC gamers didn't go for that?

The issue wasn't the market the issue was the price.

1

u/therealzist Jun 03 '26

Sony wanted that sony tax to stay in place. They are so arrogant.

0

u/DarwinsPerfectFool Jun 03 '26

Truth, the amount of money I'd have spent on ps exclusives if they came out day 1 on pc over the years probably equals a ps5 purchase.

1

u/Tactical_Squishy Jun 03 '26

when you port 10 yo games with terrible performances what do you expect

-2

u/enjoyingcurve46 Jun 03 '26

Waiting a few years to release to pc, plus the last few releases being incredibly buggy and unfinished. Yea no shit the sales weren’t that great. Its almost like bad ports dont sell well ever. I mean take gta for example. Its sales have always sucked on pc versus console because the ports are often awful

9

u/Aggressive-Map-2204 Jun 03 '26

The numbers show its not really worth it for them though. Its not just about the raw sales of PC ports its also about the opportunity cost.

3

u/TallanoGoldDigger Jun 03 '26

yeah because they release these first party games a year after it releases on their console. By the time they port it to PC, interest has already waned

Sony's revenue is 75% software 25% hardware. It's stupid kneecapping yourself by forcing people to buy their console to give them more money via software.

3

u/Rith_Reddit Jun 03 '26

The reason their software is so high is people buying stuff via their ecosystem. Minecraft brings in more money for them than most of their 1st party games combined.

-1

u/TallanoGoldDigger Jun 03 '26

So then what's the harm with bringing that same ecosystem to another platform?

It seems like the ones who want to play Minecraft on their consoles in the living room are different than the ones who want to play Minecraft on their PCs in their room. But both those people want to play the new Wolverine game. What if that persuades person 2 to play Minecraft on their PC for an hour, then go on their PS5 and finish the session there?

It seems putting the PS Store and PSN on PC is a win-win, but Sony seems adamant in wanting everyone to play using their PS5 and losing the sales.

If there's someone who can compete with the Steam ecosystem, it's Sony given how strong their IPs are and how it may induce people to have both a PC and PS5 or whatever handheld they want to release in the future

1

u/Rith_Reddit Jun 03 '26

I'm all for PS lauching a PC store though?

1

u/Tactical_Squishy Jun 03 '26

this is true, what is not worth is not having people pay their ecosystem, controllers, subscription overpriced games etc.

basically they can't scam you on pc

14

u/ekim_101 Jun 03 '26 edited Jun 03 '26

Yeah this dichotomy is where I end up.

Lmao why would I buy a PS5 I can just buy the games elsewhere.

Then, lmao why would I buy a PS5 for those shitty games

Astro Bot is legitimately amazing. Yet apparently people just wish for it to go to PC and not be the landmark console seller it wants to be. Well, now I'll be playing wolverine on my PS5 while PC players can wait for the emulators. Buy the system or don't, but you can't say there's no reason to own a PS5 and then whine the games you want aren't on PC

21

u/HuntResponsible2259 Jun 03 '26

Its annoyig... They complain that Ps5 has no game because they send those games to steam... Yet they also complain when they stop sending those games!

9

u/lastly21 Jun 03 '26

I think it's more the games being released. Most of the ps5 exclusives are sequels, remakes or remasters.

When you already released part of the series on steam why stop? Seems silly

11

u/flouryPotatos Jun 03 '26

Ready for this? Brace yourself. Its actually not the same people.

Wow. Mind blown.

5

u/vocaloidKR03 Jun 03 '26

It's 100% the same people lmao. They always say the same thing on these threads whenever the topic arises

9

u/Iggy_Slayer Jun 03 '26

It's absolutely the same people lol.

-5

u/HuntResponsible2259 Jun 03 '26

I know... But its stupid and annoying. No need to be an asshole about it.

Fucking Goombas everywhere

1

u/Tactical_Squishy Jun 03 '26

Ps5 has the facto no games... all that came out are remastered and the same 3 cookie cutter games

also goomba fallacy

0

u/Sion_Labeouf879 Jun 03 '26

Someone post the Goomba Fallacy.

0

u/Shinnyo Jun 03 '26

Goomba fallacy.

The truth is, if you have a functional PC that could easily run PS4 games, you don't need a PS5.

The reason isn't "There's no games on PS5", but "There's no games/features that justify the purchase of a PS5."

Take the Switch, it's a Handheld and despite being on the weaker hardware, it's a hit due to the many exclusives and the handheld function.

3

u/FaceForsaken Jun 03 '26

100% I really don't understand the hullabaloo surrounding this. Nintendo almost never puts their games on PC for very obvious reasons and when Microsoft does the same thing with XBOX titles they're chastised for having 'no exclusives' and accused of 'killing their brand.' When was the last time that PlayStation released an exclusive game that changed the medium forever; an absolute must-have that had everyone talking? Probably the Last of Us in 2013.

2

u/rickwill14 Jun 03 '26

Its funny cus theyre still ps5 games. Not being exclusive to ps5 doesnt mean its not their games but the way people say that makes it sound like they dont make games.

And then as soon as they release an exclusive people bitch and moan about how they cant play it and Sony is a dogshit company with no mind for business. The gaming community is fucking miserable to be a part of sometimes.

3

u/Comet7777 Jun 03 '26

It’s a loss sure, don’t think it’s a huge one when literally all Microsoft and third party games are there.

2

u/xperitosanti Jun 03 '26

Denial. Pc master race. Etc etc

2

u/yuphft Jun 03 '26

I never really got why people say this either. Cause if they kept more exclusives gamers would be sad they have to buy a console. Why aren’t we happy about less exclusives?

1

u/anonymous32434 Jun 03 '26

Yeah insomniac and Santa Monica are doing a great carrying the FUCK out of sony on their backs because I don't see any other don't studios making good games lmao

1

u/xangbar Jun 03 '26

I think part of the issue is that Sony would wait so long to launch stuff on PC the hype was gone. Add onto that since there is little to no hype that sales suffer then. I watched a streamer start Death Stranding 2 on PS5 but he didn't like the controls. He's a PC guy at heart. So he waited and finally played and beat the game recently on PC. He loved it. Said it was amazing and wished it was on PC day 1. Ending made him tear up and have an emotional moment as a dad. But again, he almost skipped it because by the time PC release happened, the hype wasn't there and there were other big games that came out he wanted to play.

1

u/edward323ce Jun 03 '26

Its a running gag since the ps3, the ps3 was soo hard to develop for like for a while all we had was bioshock, borderlands, cod and whatever shitty Bethesda game was out at the time, and the fact ever since the ps4 launched, almost every ps exclusive is a over the shoulder adventure game pushing shit down people's throats

1

u/SunshotDestiny Jun 03 '26

Yes but no? Yeah there are good games, but there are just more games and indie games regardless, and cheaper too since I don't need to buy a separate console for ps games now.

I just don't feel the need for a $1000 entry fee. Same for Nintendo but with the added bonuses in that apparently they can brick your console AND you have to pay $80 every game and you can't play offline apparently.

1

u/Shinnyo Jun 03 '26

It's not "no games", just not enough to justify purchase of an overpriced console. For example a Switch 2, I can justify buying the console for the games.

I literally got a PS5, expecting more games would come along but it never happened or too rarely. I ain't buying a console to play 1/2 games per year. And that's generous considering there's years with no games.

1

u/JOOKFMA Jun 03 '26

Which one of their exclusive is a banger? They are not bad games, but they are not exactly great either. Especially since they are all a flavor of the third-person movie game formula.

1

u/OmenDamien Jun 03 '26

What’s wrong with third person games? I don’t get it.

1

u/JOOKFMA Jun 03 '26

Nothing in particular. But Sony's games don't really have anything that really stands out.

Last of Us are decent, but kind of unremarkable gameplay wise. First game has a great story tho. God of War is such a downgrade compared to the originals. Ghost of Tsushima is just another Ubisoft open world action game.

So it's weird to me how much praise they get.

0

u/OmenDamien Jun 03 '26

Yeah, that’s why people prefer PS5 over Xbox. People, don’t be ridiculous.

0

u/JOOKFMA Jun 05 '26

People can prefer whatever they feel like. I play on PC anyway. The Sony games are nothing special.

1

u/LSDGB Jun 05 '26

Yeah as if both GoW were just ā€žnot bad but not exactly great eitherā€œ sure maybe they were not for you but they are great games and absolute bangers.

1

u/JOOKFMA Jun 05 '26

Are they? Bad camera, simplified combat, laughable puzzles, so many forced walking, rowing whatever time wasting sections, tacked on shallow rpg mechanics. That is a banger?

The bar is pretty low for bangers these days.

1

u/LSDGB Jun 05 '26

Yes. Simplified doesn’t mean bad and I don’t remember the old god of war being that complex to begin with, I think the camera is worse in the old games.

The story is great, the cutscenes are great, acting is great, characters are great, presentation is absolutely stunning.

I was way more entertained by the new GoW than the old ones.

It might not be for you, you seem to not enjoy these moviesque games but to pretend GoW18 is mid is crazy.

1

u/JOOKFMA Jun 05 '26

Yeah... if you don't care much about pacing, gameplay and you know... game stuff, it's great lol.

How is the camera worse in the old games? It's easier to look around and fight. It's serves it's gameplay well.

1

u/ahnariprellik Jun 05 '26

They sure as Hell dont sell like a banger if those recent reports are anything to go by

1

u/nibb007 Jun 03 '26

Not really. It's 2 9/10's, not a treasure trove. And it's PC so eventually they'll make their way there anyway lmao

1

u/Historical-Zebra8633 Jun 03 '26

Eh huge loss? Nah. They'll come back to steam in a few years anyway. Fuck their console. I rather not play a game then buy a useless console.

1

Exactly. I hate exclusives like everybody else but why would get an Xbox when there's nothing on it that isn't on PC?

Frankly I also won't buy a Playstation because there's like 5 games I would play on it that aren't on PC and I ain't buying a whole ass console for that.

You call these bangers? Lol Playstation has like 15 (more less) exclusives including sequels and remasters... So yeah, PS5 has no games.

1

u/BurzyGuerrero Jun 03 '26

Its a mid loss.

Itll be like 2 games a year. Not huge.

1

u/JabroniWitness Jun 03 '26

It’s not, piracy exists

1

u/Tactical_Squishy Jun 03 '26

nah it really doesn't have much

1

u/lonely_guacamole Jun 03 '26

"PS5 has no games" to "Why isn't Sony releasing their exclusives on PC anymore" which way is it, then?

1

u/CaptainBallek Jun 04 '26

Huge loss for sony. We have plenty game on pc, we will be good.

1

u/AwayFactor4945 Jun 05 '26

They are referring to exclusives when they say it has no games. Ps5 got demon souls remake and ghost of yotei thats it. All the other have been released on multiple platforms so yes ps5 has no games

The ā€œPC master raceā€ ego is insane. I upgraded to a $3500 high end gaming pc a year and a half ago and sold my base PS5 a few months later. I lived regretting it heavily ever since. PC gaming life has been great and I still love it….but there’s a certain magic that PlayStation has that’s just wasn’t on PC. And with future PS exclusives no longer being a thing for PC, that was just it for me lmao. My PS5 Pro is on its way tomorrow. Paid $900, oh well. It was a steep buy ngl, but I want a PlayStation again.

A few of these repliers must not know quite a few of these games. There’s many great ps5 exclusives. Spiderman miles morales, Spiderman 2, Astro bot, returnal, helldivers 2, god of war ragnarok, ghost of yotei, death stranding 2, forbidden west, demons souls, last of us remake, ratchet and clank rift apart, etc are all ps5 exclusives. Doesn’t matter if you personally don’t care for them or don’t like them. They are all very loved games and I’m probably missing a few.

u/Big_Kiwi_706 Jun 03 '26

More than half of the games you listed are on PC

1

u/Ironboss49 Jun 03 '26

Call it what you want. I’m just calling them PlayStation exclusives because they aren’t on Xbox (besides helldivers) and they were timed exclusives. They are all PlayStation owned games. They never would’ve gone to pc had PlayStation started doing this permanent exclusivity earlier.

Playstation doesn't release bangers, these games are 7/10 at best.

u/Reasonable_Deer_1710 Jun 03 '26

Not one game shown today is a miss for not being on PC. All the hype about Wolverine is just because it's gory. Gameplay looks generic af.

u/CreamPuzzleheaded300 Jun 03 '26

All their big "games" are legitimately more entertaining to just watch on YT then to actually play.

Open world games that pad 6 hours of story across 40 hours of padded gameplay are boring as hell.

0

u/RamonaMatona Jun 03 '26

i mean, most of the "important ones" are in pc too... i don't think sony has exclusives worth enough to buy the console (for me at least)

unless you want the simplicity of "plug n play" i don't think the console has a lot of value

2

u/Ironboss49 Jun 03 '26

I’m not advocating that a ps5 is worth getting. I don’t think it is, especially if you already own a pc. I’m just saying it’s a huge loss for pc that all future PlayStation games will only be on PlayStation. A ps6 will actually be worth getting as long as PlayStation games stay strong.

People are fools and reactionary šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

I think the biggest reason PC-only gamers largely aren't stressed to lose PS5 single player exclusives is that many have a backlog of bangers a mile long thanks to all the 75-90% off sales.

That might also be a factor in why Sony decided to back away from the market. Many of us are also more than willing to wait for steep sales on account of that banger backlog.

1

u/lamancha Jun 03 '26

Many of us are willing to wait for steep sales because they are releasing the games years after their original date anyway.

0

u/enjoyingcurve46 Jun 03 '26

The issue is their exclusivity. Games that are releasing ONLY on ps5. Theres not that many. Most of the Games shown at PlayStation showcase are coming to xbox pc and some to switch

Also switch 2 already has more exclusives in a year than ps5 in 5 years just to Bring that to perspective and most are absolutely bangers as well

0

u/feicash Jun 03 '26

PlayStation keeps releasing bangers.

90% of them are generic af

1

u/OmenDamien Jun 03 '26

Yeah, and that was said by a person who play Genshin Impact, Jedi Survivor and other generic slop. Grow up, TLOU2 and God of War are on different level than this.

0

u/feicash Jun 03 '26

Grow up, TLOU2 and God of War are on different level than this.

those games have 6-8 years (and tlou2 is a freaking sequel lmao)

the games that sony released after those have been generic af (like wolverine is just Marvel's Spiderman with a wolverine skin)

grow up

u/OmenDamien Jun 03 '26

XDDDDDDDD

u/Nickulator95 Jun 03 '26

I wouldn't call them bangers just good games. Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3, Expedition 33, those games are bangers and they're multiplatform. God of War Ragnarok, Spiderman 2, Horizon Forbidden West? Those games are good, might even be great, but certainly not bangers.
