Other/Rant WHY IS THE ENGINEERING LIBRARY SO LOUD?!?
Honestly, why? I thought a library was a quiet study space?
Iām a first year Eng student so this is quite annoying when I need a nice place to study.

Alright folks, enough is enough.
Every BO/hygiene post turns into:
race-baiting
weird stereotypes
drama for no reason
Weāre not doing this anymore.
š« All BO/hygiene posts = removed
š« All race-baiting in the comments = removed
š« Repeat offenders = time-out
We get it. Sometimes people smell bad. It happens. But we canāt keep having the same posts about it over and over.
For that reason, these threads will be removed going forward.

Winter is coming and I'd rather not lug my big jacket, toque and scarf around with me all day. Does anyone know What faculty or student association has the most affordable pricing for lockers? Cheers
For some extra context, I'm enrolled in the faculty of Science.

Did anyone else struggle with the FMLY1000 midterm? I failed my midterm by one question. The midterm was supposed to be on Chapters 1-3 and I donāt remember nearly half of what was in the exam questions being in the exam. š¢ Iām a first year student, Iām doing fairly well in my 4 other courses. This exam was worth 25% of my overall grade. Iāll be talking to an academic advisor but is there still a chance of passing this course if I got an F?

i was wondering if anyone knew anything about advanced entry into bhsc for the winter term. I'm currently a first year and over the past few weeks decided that i wanted to switch to health science. it requires 6 hrs of humanities (of which i am taking 0 of currently for fall and winter), but i cant really fit those credits into my term next semester and i would probably have to take them over the summer instead (i was thinking of taking indigenous 1220 or 40 and phil 2740 since those are required for bhsc)
the website said it only intakes for winter on a space available basis only. does anyone know how likely there is to be space/get admitted for winter and how much more or less competitive it would be compared to the fall advanced entry?

As the title suggests, can I take CHEM 1120 in lieu of CHEM 1122 and CHEM 1126, Iāve seen mixed advice on it.
Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I'm taking a class that has Nataliya Venger as the professor, at CMU. Is anyone here taking a class with her that can share roughly how long you spend on studying or preparing for her class.

Hello. I am wondering what level of math is required to take PHYS 3220Ā Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement.
I do meet the prerequisites (PHYS 1030), but some people told me that PHYS 3220 requires high level of math in order to understand the materials.
I am a 3rd year student, who have taken many biology/chemistry courses, and feel confident with math personally (took MATH 1500 and got A+, and never struggle with math or math-related bio/chem questions in my life).
Also, I am willing to dedicate my time in winter break to prepare for the math content prior to the first day of class if needed.
Please give me advice!

I took my chem exam yesterday and I was moderately prepared. But the night before I couldnāt sleep, so I pulled an all nighter then drank a cup of coffee and an energy drink. During the exam, I felt like I couldnāt breath and I was almost having a panic attack. I felt like all my senses were attacking me. For ex there were creaky chairs and everyone someone would move in the chair it would creak and i genuinely felt like throwing up and running out of the room everytime iād hear it creak. I felt the same way when i was hearing the smallest piece of movement like papers rustling for ex. Iāve never felt that way in my life before, like iāve taken exams in highschool where iāve been perfectly fine even after pulling all nighters. But this time, I genuinely almost started crying just because i felt so overstimulated, and when i got home i did cry because i felt so unlike myself. I started guessing on the MC because i wanted to get out of there so badly. Is this normal? does anyone else experience this? and would you say itās because i didnāt get any sleep, or that this is inductive of a larger problem ?
