You: a talented and experienced DM who's been running a campaign for your buddies for years. You've never quite fit in with this group - they're a crew of aggressively straight, classic, masculine dudes ("dudes" is the perfect word. "Bros" capture some but not all. Same with "assholes".) Perhaps you were the only genuine nerd, attending cons and frequenting fora? Perhaps you were the only woman or queer person or some other version of non-basic normie? Whatever the reason, you were never "one of the guys." You hung out weekly for campaigns but never outside of them.
Until one day recently, that all came to an end. The crew sat you down and - with varying degrees of attempted delicacy - told you point blank they didn't want to play anymore. "It's kind of embarrassing, doing this at our age, no? We gotta move on.”
You were furious. This was a key outlet for you - for creativity, for socialization, and one arena in your life you could control. What made it worse was that the guys were actually fun to play with! When they let themselves get into it, they were funny and creative and full of banter and appropriately competitive and responsive. They were denying themselves something wonderful as much as you. You felt abandoned, like something you loved had died…but also you were worrying it was never what you thought it was, considering how callously they tossed you aside.
Frustrated, you vented on a forum, explaining your situation and asking for advice.
A day later you got a PM with a mysterious link and a message cryptically stating: “Make a campaign to change your life…and theirs.”
The link lead to an order for beta-testing an experimental new VR device for TTRPGs. You filled out an order form and thought nothing of it until a tablet and sets of headsets arrived the next day.
Surprised but intrigued by the device, you invite the guys over for one last game. Feeling a bit bad and intrigued by the tech, they agree to one last campaign.
Soon, you discover this one has…reverberations. Changes in the game affect who the players are irl. Status changes, transformations, storylines, romances, nemeses, victories and setbacks…all seem to gain corollaries in your players’ actual lives - but not necessarily literal (i.e. a species transformation doesn't mean the player becomes a goblin or anthro dog irl, they just take on some of the characteristics of those creatures irl. Does that make sense? Let's discuss!)
What will you do with this power? Can you undo it or do you see the campaign through? Do you lean in and try to mess with your frustrating buds? Teach them lessons?

Thanks for reading! Experienced and enthusiastic RPer here looking for an 20+ partner to build this out! I love the idea of players - reluctant at first - finding themselves playing a campaign in a fantasy world that has concrete, surprising consequences in their lives. I’d love a partner who has a sense of mischief, who quickly realizes what’s happening and decides to have some fun with it, finding inventive ways to get their friends to change and see themselves in new ways.
My responses tend to be 3-4 paragraphs minimum but often go longer, especially at the beginning. I have lots of ideas for the players (looking to play 3-4 of them!) but very open to tweak based on a partner’s preferences. LGBTQ+ friendly ofc and open to developing themes on those lines.
Kinks: Love humiliation and tfs (and humiliation via tfs). Love role reversals and playing dudes who get turned into walking punchlines. Other interests include body changes (height/weight/muscle/tg), outlandish and imposed clothes/costumes (clowns/jesters/mimes, fursuits, corny costumes like pirates/cowboys/etc and so much more!), hair/facial hair changes, humiliation, anthro/partial animal changes, shrinking/growth, strange proportions, toonification and toon physics, and more. Open to mental changes and inanimate but only with some consciousness remaining, rarely into full identity death. LOVE getting into the nitty gritty of changes: clothes, hair/facial hair styling, voice/speech, changes etc. Bizarre combos of changes too - animal parts on people, clothes on anthros, mis-shapen or mis-matched body parts, etc.. Smut necessary for this one. Limits: scat, blood, hard pain.
If meta-games with surprising twists and layered magic are your jam - hit me up!
