FYI Darlene Graham's position on data centers is deeply unpopular. But she's gotta stick with it because the AI and data center companies are funding her campaign — and writing the scripts she was reading on the debate stage last night. - Dr. Annie Andrews

Here’s the full 8-minute segment on YouTube: ‘No plan to lower costs': SC Senate nominee Annie Andrews RIPS GOP opponent Darline Graham - Morning Joe on MS NOW - Oct 12, 2026 (YouTube) ~:~ Annie’s interview starts @ 1:58

Description: Democratic Senate nominee Annie Andrews of South Carolina joins Morning Joe after her first — and only — debate with Republican incumbent Sen. Darline Graham, who was appointed to the Senate seat following the death of her brother, longtime Sen. Lindsey Graham. Andrews says affordability remains the top concern for voters in South Carolina and criticized Graham for her inexperience, arguing she was "hand-picked" by special interests to do their bidding. The Morning Joe panel discusses the latest in that Senate fight.

Data centers are one of these issues that the vast majority of Americans agree on — Republicans and Democrats.

But the person who doesn't agree is Darlene Graham. And the reason she is so pro-data center — she says we need to get with the program and just keep building data centers — is because the data center and AI companies that want to build the data centers, are funding her campaign.

I called for a 2-year moratorium, because as i've traveled across south Carolina — to Spartanburg, and Walterboro, and Aiken, and i'm hearing from rural community members — they feel like they're getting steamrolled by these incredibly powerful, wealthy companies.

The only way to balance that power is a 2-year moratorium, so that we can really, you know, inform our local governments about how to negotiate with these large corporations.

We need protections to ensure ratepayers' rates don't go up, a real return to local control. And that's what a 2-year moratorium will accomplish.

Darlene's position on this is deeply unpopular, but she's gotta stick with it because those Folks are writing the scripts that she was reading on the stage last night.

FYI More than 100 Kansas Republicans just endorsed my campaign for Senate. And it goes well beyond that. At every stop across our state, Republicans tell me they’re tired of the chaos, tired of the corruption in DC. And so am I. - Adam Hamilton

Did you see the news? More than a hundred Kansas Republicans just endorsed my campaign for Senate.

Former Republican Governors Bill Graves and Mike Hayden are leading the coalition.

Former Kansas Senate President Dave Kerr, as well as Roger Marshall's primary opponent Pond Naramore are with us.

It's a large and diverse coalition of Leaders from across our state, and I'm so proud to have their support.

And it goes well beyond that list. I hear it every stop, a Republican pulls me aside and says, "I've never voted for a Democrat in my life, but I'm voting for you."

Republicans across our state are tired of the chaos, they're tired of the corruption in Washington D.C. And so am I.

I've been a Pastor for nearly 40 years. My Congregation has about 9,000 Republicans, 9,000 Democrats, and 6,000 Independents.

Every Sunday we worship together. Then we go out and we serve our Neighbors, and we don't ask, "Are you Republican or Democrat?" We just serve.

Washington could use more of that, and that's the kind of Senator I will be.

I'm an Independent-minded Democrat. Too many Politicians just do what their Party Bosses or their President tells them. I won't. I'll lead from the middle, and work across the aisle to lower costs, fix our broken healthcare system, and restore decency to our broken politics.

I know as well as anyone that good ideas don't belong to one party or person.

If you're a Kansas Republican ready for something different, I'd be honored to have your vote.

FYI Texas is losing $1.5 billion a year, but Greg Abbott got $12M for pushing school vouchers and $20M from data center interests. Texans are mad about being sold out. And in rural Texas, which is mostly Republican, they're big mad about public schools and data centers. - Gina Hinojosa

Description: Greg Abbott puts his donors first with his data center madness and a voucher scam that hurts Texas schools. As governor, I’ll put Texans first, save our public schools, put more money in your pocket, and secure the American Dream. ~:~ Learn more at ginafortexas.com

Greg Abbott sold out our schools by pushing through — forcing through — his voucher scam, after receiving $12 million from an out-of-state Billionaire, Jeff Yass, who has a financial interest in vouchers. It's the largest campaign contribution in all of Texas history. So absolutely, it is the other side to that coin.

The positive agenda is pro-public schools, securing the American dream. The reason why we can't get there under Greg Abbott, is because he sold us out.

It is the same with data centers, right? We have had all these data centers descend into Texas, with the richest tax breaks in the country. They pay no sales tax on the electricity they consume — and we know it's gobs of electricity. They pay no sales tax for 20 years. These hyperscale data centers, right. He's received over $20 million from the data center interest.

And we are losing $1.5 billion a year in Texas.

Texans are mad about being sold out. And in rural Texas, which is mostly Republican, they're big mad about public schools and data centers.

Opinion John Thune is looking like a sage, right about now.

Post image
15 Upvotes

John Thune, the man Donald Trump and the usual suspects of MAGA have routinely called a “RINO” and routinely attacked for refusing to go along with efforts to nuke the filibuster, is looking like a sage right about now.

The principal concern among institutionalists like Thune for eliminating the 60-vote threshold wasn’t that it was constitutionally reckless or a blatant shortcut for partisan gain. No, he’s not that noble.

Rather, it was a pragmatic calculation: “What if the Democrats get back into power?” Because at that point, a simple majority would have been enough for Democrats to slide through their agenda without bending or breaking a single rule.

MAGA will continue to live in a fever dream of hysteria, claiming the Democrats would have never won if it hadn't been for “RINOs and traitors” like Thune. They are allergic to the facts. They refuse to acknowledge that Trump’s tariff war and his war of choice in Iran directly inflicted crippling financial difficulties on the majority of American citizens. The political landscape was swept from under their feet because regular people were being forced to choose between putting bread in their grocery baskets and gasoline in their cars.

John Thune, while his motives were admittedly impure, may well prove to be the hero the GOP needed, but didn’t deserve. He will likely never get the credit he deserves for being one of the few sober-minded people in the room - the one who saved the GOP by refusing to entertain the whims of the madman in charge.
