I noticed one thing lately. Ang dami kong nakikitang rude redditors dito.
Bakit kayo rude? Dahil nabobobohan kayo sa mga nagtatanong? Matapang behind the keyboard lang ba? Ung iba valid naman and may point naman ung mga tanong and posts, grabe kung ibash. Kinagaling ninyo yan?
Not everyone is kasing galing ng iba or maalam talaga sa tech. Madami joined this sub for them to know what they didn't know.
It is easier to be kind rather than rude.
Report to me pag may mga ganitong redditors in this sub. Let's try to avoid making this a toxic space. Let's help each other as much as we can.

Which one should I pick between these two? I'm a BSIT (Programming) freshman. My purposes are programming and coding, plus some gaming, like GTA 5 or similar games. It should also be durable and can last for a very long time.

Before, I used an AMD A4-6300 but swapped it out for an AMD A8-7600 as seen in the picture. I was running Lubuntu on my previous setup but I can't game kahit na sa mga retro games kasi mabigat yung Proton Compatibility sa Steam in my experience especially if walang native Linux ang game. But office and school tasks are fine naman.
Along with the CPU, here are my specs;
128GB SATA SSD
12GBs DDR3 RAM ( expecting to have 16GBs when dadating yung bagong RAM )
So, with my specs, should I keep using Linux or change OS balik Windows 10?

Hello guys, I’m seeking your expertise about smartphones. I’m currently using an Iphone 13 256gb that I bought brandnew way back 2022. It served me well when I was still in college. The Camera and OS is enough for me as I don’t do much on my phone besides communicating and social media.
Now that I work onsite (Civil Engineer), I’m having a hard time using it outdoors as it overheats quickly, preventing me to do work. Mind you I’ve done resets and stuff but the lagging and overheating issues are still there.
To the experts here, I want to ask if the Samsung S25 ultra is the right phone for me. Is it still worth it? Can it still last for 4 years or so?
Thanks, people!

Para sa akin that virtual ram didn't do that much. Kukuha pa rin naman yan sa internal storage which means slowing down the phone. Internal storage is much slower than the actual ram. Maybe it is useful on a PC but useless on a phone. To me, the actual physical RAM are the only ram that matters.

TL:DR - Should I buy a phone now due to rising prices or could there be bigger discounts at 11.11 or 12.12. Samsung A17 or A37 or other Recommendations?
I'm planning to gift my grandparents smartphones since theirs is outdated (bali 2 phones) 15k sana budget ko para maganda na kako for basic use, guess my shock to see phone prices this september to october
First of, do you think phone prices will continue to increase by november/december?
Since basic use lang rin naman sila (Facebook, youtube, calls) ok na kaya performance ng Samsung A17(8/256) or better to go A37(8/128)?
I think I can get them at 35k and 40k for two phones respectively sa lazada flagship store right now.
Considering na within 1 month yung mall srp 28k price ng a57 naging 30k++ na, should I pull the trigger now since tataas pa rin? Or would there be a chance na mas malaki discounts sa 11.11 or 12.12
Do you have another phone reco na stable enough for 3 to 5 years within the same price range? I'd rather have a consistent performance for 2 years than a 10% better performance pero mag degrade rin after.
Thank you!

Hello guys! Will I be able to buy a 2nd hand laptop na good for CAD for around ₱20k+? I heard from my upperclassmen kasi na need daw talaga ng laptop for next semester and higher years, since next sem, magkakaron kami ng CAD and programming and laganap talaga yung pag gamit ng CAD sa higher years. Just asking lang po since hindi kayang agad agad makabili ng newer device since di lang ako yung pinapaaral nila papa. Thank you!

hello! ask ko lang if this is okay na for a budget gaming laptop? i-cash ko kasi and 65k lang if cash ko siya considering na ang mahal na ng laptop nowadays. upgradable rin ‘yung ram and storage. or if may reco kayo na around that price lang na better and specs, tyia!

I'm losing hope.
Nabasa yung laptop ko kanina while I was using it, mostly sa keyboard and some drops on the sides. Pinunasan ko naman agad. I thought okay pa siya kasi naka-on pa naman and working pa yung touchpad, but when I tried to open an app, ayaw mag-open. Suddenly, a message popped up saying, “Your device ran into a problem,” then nag-flash yung screen, so I turned it off.
Dinala ko siya sa technician, pero they told me to bring it back after one week kasi kailangan munang patuyuin bago nila buksan. Noong dinala ko siya doon, nag-on yung laptop, and may lumabas na message sa screen na something like “reboot.” Pero noong inuwi ko na, nag-off na siya completely, and wala nang blue light sa gilid.
Nakaka-frustrate lang kasi kailangang-kailangan ko ng laptop ngayon, pero tight ang budget to buy a new one.
May chance pa bang maayos, or huwag na akong umasa?
Any insights or advice would be appreciated.

It takes a few minutes to right click a file inside it and it's shown to be at 100% active time with 0Kbps of write and speed by task manager.

I preordered mine from the ‘Flagship store’, dito ko rin inorder yung 17pro ko in the past and no issue encountered naman so trust na lang..
But I wonder bakit kaya cheaper dito? Mahal din kasi sa pmc + for the freebies na kasama, parang mas makakamura pa rin sa laz/shopee.. may konting worry lang na baka bato ang dumating. hahaha 🥲
Edit: Used my UB CC 24 months 0 interest din for this! Sulit na talaga
