Let's talk about sexualization, dude. And no, i'm not talking about the "rack of lamb" situation going on here.

Like, if you're watching some anime and we get a scene where some one is changing or the camera angle gets weird and zooms in on some girl's backside, that's obvious. But I personally don't think something like that is the only way to sexualize someone.

Like you have a girl. Modest wear. No weird poses. No camera angles zooming in on her chest or anything.

But she is always barefoot. And it is a running gag that she is always stepping in stuff and has to clean her feet, and we are shown the process often.

Feet are not inherently sexualized. But they are commonly fetishized, and for dudes into that, these scenes are basically a gold mine.

Basically, I think sexualization by catering to certain taste even if the things that taste is for aren't inherently sexual is still sexualization. And well...

That's exactly what Lanolin is in my eyes.

There are plenty of dudes into the uptight, no nonsense, but attractive woman in authority who, even if she means well, is kind of abrasive (to use a nice term.) Tired of everyone's crap.

I know because I am one of them.

Yeah, I'm not really into Sonic girls generally. Not even Rouge really does anything for me. Only thing that may get me is certain "fanart" that changes the art style and proportions of the characters. Most effective for Amy. (I don't know. I guess pink is a visually appealing skin tone)

Except for Lanolin. Fanart or canon, she seems apmost engineered.

The reason I most suspect the title question is because I hear Adam Bryce Thomas is her primary creator and he has...

...a history with his prior work. I can't help but wonder if that partially has influenced her character

Tails and Wriph as Fox and Krystal in their Star Fox Adventures designs. I see a lot people say that Wriph looks like Krystal so here you go.

Aerith: "And who am I reminding you of, Shadow?"

Shadow: "I’m not sure if I want to tell you…"
