For IEI I believe it is this -
Going deep along some fragment of Ni means observing the stream of moods and emotional experiences of a narrow circle of individuals. These are the people one has chosen oneself, or those given by fate; they are the ones with whom the IEI identifies their own emotional life. […] One could say that IEIs are fighters for the emotional liberation of the people they live and work with. [...] The everyday goal of the IEI’s Ego block is to identify their own emotional life with the emotional life of the people close to them. This is done to acquire a key to their moods, and to be able to take over and direct those moods. [...] What the IEI considers their task is a duty to accept another person’s emotional life as is, in all its variability; to uninhibit it, to harmonize it, and to make it easier to manage socially. All of this is done by manipulating emotions. The IEI simply cannot live in the world without constantly harmonizing it. Most IEIs harmonize their personal life, family life or group life. Some harmonize society. The IEI’s Ego block produces a change of a person’s emotional life, which means a change of the person themself. - Augusta

It seems interesting and seems to take into account alot of human weirdness/dysfunction, but I dont know. This still feels similar to myers briggs but the percieving types (xxxp) seem a bit more intense and the judging types (xxxJ) seem way more chilled?
It seems interesting, though my main criticism, atleast with the sociotype website is that the language is way too complex, and the test needs to be rewritten so it's simpler. Nobody is gonna read a paragraph about wether they prefer to expound logic or synthesize logic and seriously understand what thay means.
Socionics seems interesting and does seem similar to MBTI, I feel like they *should* be combined but arent. The three letter descriptors are very confusing.
Anyways if you must know I'm an INTP in myers briggs and the socionics quiz typed me as an LII, basically INTPs counterpart. Yeah I feel like alot of people would end up typing as their counterpart in socionics, despite what everyone says about typing yourself separately.

Hi, I'm trying to type someone. At first I thought LIE, but I'm also considering LSE as a strong contender. I've read lots of descriptions and posts comparing these two but I can't decide, so asking for help might be a good idea.
Rather than explaining how I see this person, maybe it'd be better to ask them directly. That's why I want to know what questions would you do to them if you were in my shoes.
I thought focusing on the Vulnerable function would be the better way to decide, but maybe there's other things I can check.
If it helps, I can explain the reason why I am in so much doubt:
This is someone who works relentlessly. They’re constantly in management mode, always juggling a million things at once. There’s always something that needs to be taken care of, something to organize, or something to keep running. This attitude seems almost automatic, and so they have a hard time relaxing and resting from their work life. They can never truly switch off.
Even when they DO have the opportunity to relax, they somehow end up managing something again (vacation trips, parties, hang-outs...). I don't know whether they do this consciously or not, but they're always getting caught up on something.
When they FINALLY get to relax (getting home from work, weekend...) everything's a mess. They just lay down in the sofa, mindlessly scrolling through reels or watching TV. If it wasn't for their partner (SEE) who does all the cooking and cleaning, the house would probably rot.
When focused on something (either work or IG reels) they're like completely absorbed in it and fully unaware of their surroundings (idk if consciously or not). You can say something to them and get absolutely no response, only for them to ask "what did you say?" 5 minutes later. When conversating or arguing, they really take their time before answering anything or even between phrases. These silences usually go along a deep sigh and a dense expression in their face. You can see their mind is going 300mph in real time. Also, they constantly lose track of their objects (phone, glasses) and leave them all around the house.
Their impulse of always being in charge of something, managing every single thing, makes me think of Ni PoLR.
Their absent-mindedness and chaotic burnouts makes me thing of Si PoLR.
What do you think? Maybe you're thinking of another type I haven't mentioned. Thanks for the help, really!

If an individual tends to go against the grain, meaning veers away from the collective in opinion unless a direct personal benefit?
A very basic surface level example: Everyone is upgrading to the newest iPhone. The person initially is against an upgrade for themselves until presented with information that sways them to see personal benefit. They can become preoccupied with knowing why something is necessary.

seeing and experiencing things reminds you of a certain thing that happened in the past, an interaction you had, a thought, a joke, a post or quote you read, and you externally express it sometimes especially when trying to make a joke or prove a point even if you don’t have a logical evidence, you use them as something that justifies or proves that thing to you
is this si or ni or whatever in socionics system?

From the urging of u/CommonStock9269
And inspired by their other thread lol
Random IEE tidbits that especially resonate with me from various wikisocion descriptions. Not the only parts of course, but thought I'd highlight these. Thinks it is a good combo of the ramifications of Ne + Fi as ego functions, at least as I experience them.
Meged & Ovcharov (my personal favorite descriptions):
Stratiyevskaya (think she got my perfectionism tendencies down)
Beskova (all of their type descriptions are so nice and positive lol)

Are there any specific set of manners and behaviors that suggest a person is one of those types?

Viktor Gulenko, on his website here: https://socioniks.net/en/article/?id=273, tells customers that they will receive a report personalized to the diagnostic videos they are sent. In reality, they COPY their own reports, giving their customers each others reports and slightly editing the format to hide their trace. The evidence is down below. The pictures come from TWO completely different customers, who had no idea (until it came up in the discord community) that Gulenko was boilerplating each others documents.
Evidence 1: https://imgur.com/a/u8vFhNl
Evidence 2: https://imgur.com/a/rVXNFzu
Evidence 3: https://imgur.com/a/4M62FhT
Warning anyone who is thinking about spending 150$ on this. This is what they promise on their website:
The result of the diagnostic will be send to you by email with explanations how the videos showed your temperament and attitude.
In reality, they send you an explanation of SOMEONE ELSE's video, with explanations that barely apply to you. DO NOT BUY.

Again and again I run into people with my base as a creative who appear to be just effortlessly good with it, so easy going. I think my base is good but very restricted, like it has very high standards to show how skillful it actually it, but in the right circumstances, I genuinely feel incredibly competent. The issue is, that I don't show it off that easily.

So for me - my mother is an IEE and my whole life I would always notice inconsistencies in her behavior toward me. Then whenever I became an adult, and was able to articulate my distress around what I felt were non-loving actions, I started to say things to her like: "I don't care if you say you love me if your actions do not show it. Love is an action. A definable action."
I see now that this was 100% Se-Ti dual seeking and I'm guessing beta quadra values in general.
Action as the highest truth.
I'm sure there are loads more I could think of but that one is top of mind. Do you guys have anything like that? Things that made you go “Aha!” while learning the system?
Would love to hear.

I'm asking for help with typing my father in Socionics. Here’s a brief description of him, including the most important details, without any particular logical order.
For context, the family members I’ll talk about are:
- me, ILI-Ni sp514 /R/COe[I],
- my mother, LSE-Te so163 SC[O]aN,
- my brother, ESE-Fe so927 /SLUA/I
- my 90 year old grandmother (my fathers mother), SEI-Fe or ESE-Si sp216 [S]l/O/aN
- my father, I think so936 and [SL]o/AN/ —> I don’t know his socionics type (I’m asking for this reason)
The Description:
My father is a relatively average person. The only interest that sets him apart from the conventional is probably his passion for antique tin toys, of which he is both an expert and an enthusiast. Because of this passion, he’s constantly meeting new people and making dozens of phone calls a day.
He’s indeed a very open and straightforward person, he knows how to assert himself in public, isn’t really afraid to ask for anything, is never worried about others’ judgment, and comes across as shameless and carefree when socializing. Highly extroverted and outgoing, he often cracks jokes (unfunny ones from my POV) or laughs out loud, especially around strangers. He’s boisterous and never realizes how much noise and mess he’s making. At home, however, he’s more passive and often submits to my mother, who frequently corrects him, disciplines him, and so on.
He is also very expressive; his emotions always show through very clearly, and they are typically joy and happiness, stress and agitation or anger and frustration.
He has zero spatial awareness; he often bumps into people, stops suddenly, or moves sharply. He tends to stress out the people around him (often me) for no reason at all. He never seems to notice anything going on around him (which contrasts sharply with my observant nature), but when he does notice something, he says it out loud and proclaims himself an excellent observer.
He also often doesn’t listen to what others are saying because he’s doing something else. Talking to him is often pointless or leads nowhere. Lunches between the two of us are often spent in silence, since we don't have any common interests to talk about, or he asks me superficial or obvious questions.
He quickly becomes friendly with everyone, but only superficially; I don’t think he actually has any close friends with whom he discusses more serious matters. His conversations usually revolve around everyday life, current events, travels, and updates on what’s going on in people’s lives. He tends to find it odd when people talk about other topics, such as media, art, or psychology (like me).
He’s not artistic or creative at all; he doesn’t have much imagination. In the culinary realm, he cooks very few dishes, always makes the same things. He’s reluctant to change his routine; his breakfast has been the same for thirty years. He isn’t closed-minded about issues like racism or homophobia, but he’s still a bit judgmental about people’s appearances and the way they dress (he has no sense of style or personal expression whatsoever). He is extremely nationalistic; he considers our country’s food, music, and culture to be the best in the world and is very reluctant to try new things from other cultures.
He's very prideful, whenever he does something, everyone has to know about it, and he seems to think he's done something really big. He also often repeats things ad nauseam without even realizing it.
He tends to be very service-minded, often offering to help others, for example by giving them a ride or running errands for them. He’s very attached to his mother who is the only remaining member of his family. He’s always been a bit of a “mama’s boy” as an only child, and now that he’s retired, his life revolves largely around her: doing her grocery shopping, scheduling her doctor’s appointments, cleaning her house, driving her around, and so on. They call each other about five times a day, and all this behavior bothers my mother a bit because he isn’t as present with her.
He is not a very tidy person; he’s gotten a bit more orderly under my mother’s influence. On the other hand, he’s relatively organized when it comes to his commitments, and he’s so punctual he stresses out other people when they aren’t there at the exact meeting time.
He’s a really stressed-out and stressful person. He freaks out over the slightest thing. If a dish falls on the floor, he starts yelling as if someone just died and runs over in a super dramatic way to check it out.
If he loses something, he makes a huge fuss and blames everyone in the house; and every single time, my mom or I have to calm him down and tell him where to look for it. He also gets stressed out by every little unexpected event and by any request (if I ask him to drive me somewhere, he’ll ask me twenty times what time and where I’m going). If he has to grocery shop for something different from the usual or if he’s asked to cook something new, he gets agitated and keeps coming to ask us how to do it.
Indeed, I’d describe him as a very limbic person, who transmits this agitation to anyone around him without even realizing it. What bothers me is that I believe that in his own mind, his perception of himself is that of a nonchalant and charming person (which he is, at best, only with strangers), not recognizing that these traits of him are often quite overwhelming for those close to him. My mother and I, therefore, tend to tease him a lot about these dramatic tendencies.
He’s had some episodes of depression, but when he’s feeling down, he relies almost exclusively on what he reads online or hears on TV. If my mother (his wife) suggests something, he won’t listen, but if his mother suggests something, he might actually listen.
He’s very open to socializing and being inclusive, though he often doesn’t consider the other person’s perspective. For example, he might think it’s a good idea to invite one of his introverted and shy friends to a social gathering with twenty people he doesn’t even know, simply because he himself would appreciate it and feel included. Or, another example, he might offer to buy me lunch, but then end up buying food I’ve always disliked, making me realize just how little he really knows me.
So he often takes initiatives that could be altruistic in nature, but they sometimes aren’t if you consider the other person’s actual wishes. He also does things like volunteering with disabled individuals and, although he’s very happy to do it, the idea wasn’t his but was suggested by my mother.
I’d say he has a very superficial relationship with me and my brother; he’s not the kind of parent who tries to open up to his children, teach them important things, or be “your friend.” He’s kinda just there, I don’t think being a father is something he’s suited for…
I hope this can help typing him in Socionics (I’ve already got my own guesses, but I'd rather not share them so as not to bias you). You can also type him using any other typing system, by the way.

> I just wanted to compile these to offer clarity and understanding into the direct experience of being the type - for other IEIs or anyone else who is curious. I feel these quotes reflect a good range of my life and behavior. I'm sure it doesn't cover every facet and nuance of being an IEI, but hopefully a good amount.
> Some are favorite excerpts personally, others I feel convey important insight. The last quote by Aushra is, in my opinion, the defining statement of the IEI.
> Disclaimer: I am Fe subtype, so what I resonate with may favor that expression of the type.
_______
The IEI in general forgives little. Good things he may forget, but evil and malice – never! As well as hurtful and malicious actions committed towards people who are close to him, the IEI will not forget and continue to remind: “Have you forgotten how poorly he has treated you? Why do you want to aid him now?” -Stratiyevskaya
_______
Your other problem is that you are not inclined to hide from others your frustrations and complaints about your state. You can tire others with your complaining, make them distrust the sincerity of your sentiments. Refrain from making excessive demands of others and complaints about the lack of care in relation to you. To have the attention of others, try to temper some moodiness in your character. - Gulenko (This one makes me laugh. No, Gulenko, I will not be tempering myself.)
_______
Resorts to forceful methods himself only when he feels a physical threat to himself or his loved ones. - Gulenko
_______
If he is in a constant state of discomfort, begins to behave provocatively, rudely, and aggressively; does it to hide his soft nature. - Gulenko
_______
When there is no clarity and the situation is ambiguous, IEI’s mood spoils, he feels lost and confused. Chaos, disorganization, lack of support plunge him into despair. [….] In need of various designs, schemes, and methods. - Gulenko
_______
In extreme situations, becomes cool and unemotional. His thoughts become clearer, and he finds it easier to undertake informed decisions. - Gulenko
_______
Dislikes strict, meticulous control. Constant firm discipline is not for him. - Gulenko
_______
Lives by the principle of non-interference into the internal world of the individual. - Gulenko
_______
He internally observes everything as in constant motion: children run, adults work, some actions are undertaken, rivers flow, heavenly bodies move in the sky for the IEI, time constitutes a kind of aether into which everything is submerged. - Filatova
_______
For the IEI the past and the future are sequences of fluid moods, the finest web of spiritual experiences. - Augusta
_______
IEI is easily inspired in favorable climate, but also very easy to offend. Sometimes a negative intonation or reproachful gaze is all that is needed to put him into negative mood for the rest of the day. - Filatova
_______
If IEI enters a period of melancholy and disappointment, and this is not a rare occurrence, he will then isolate himself. When the dark period is over, he will once again emerge bright and alert, with positive expectations of the future and of his life. - Filatova
_______
If he is in luck and finds himself in a loving and supportive atmosphere, his best qualities are revealed: the ability to be compassionate and to provide moral support. - Filatova
_______
Possessing high impressionability, the IEI sensitively responds to all forms of art. - Filatova
_______
Variable and indecisive, not keen on taking responsibility, not only for others but also for himself, IEI prefers not to occupy leadership positions. If, nevertheless, fate forces him into such a position he can successfully manage strategic tasks. - Filatova
_______
In spite of his seemingly detached relation to life, the IEI is capable of sufficiently realistically evaluating what is happening around him. - Stratiyevskaya
_______
Esenin is like that fairy from folklore tales, which is able to turn the life of any person into a “sweet dream”, “waking up” from which the person may feel being thrown far back in time, with a sense of irremediably lost opportunities. - Stratiyevskaya
_______
All new trends, all new developments and directions catch his attention. - Stratiyevskaya
_______
In a romantic-dreamy state of the soul the IEI thinks distractedly on some removed topic, and the entire world acquires bright colors, becomes filled by sunlight and “sparkles of fresh dew”. This blissful as a sweet opium dream state, this fairy-tale sleep, which is desirable to prolong to infinity, but which will end precisely when Esenin will consider it necessary to put an end to it. Esenin dislikes when some external stimulus interferes with this illusory-ethereal harmony – in such moments he feels as the author of the ruined creation. - Stratiyevskaya
_______
Esenin is a “craftsman” of attitudes and moods: whatever picture he paints - so it will be. This is the instrument of his influence on his surroundings – by this he can “reward” as well as punish. - Stratiyevskaya
_______
Almost no one else knows how to mercilessly say harsh words and furiously quarrel, amplifying his emotional influence, as the IEI. The IEI knows how to burn someone by words as if by red hot metal, masterfully applying words enough for his partner to learn the lesson and draw the conclusions from his own errors and to try to as soon as possible correct them, in order not to repeat hence. [….] That which for Zhukov is nothing more than an effective method of emotional activation, for others (more sensitive personalities) can be unbearably trying.
In interaction the IEI holds a close psychological distance, as a consequence of which he can feel himself too vulnerable and too dependent of his partner. Therefore his quarrels are a required measure, the purpose of which is - on one side - to adjust psychological distance, and from another side - to draw attention of his partner to potential problems and express his needs in a form in which they are most readily received by his dual.
The IEI is unable to speak of his problems in a “business tone” - this in his understanding is too crude and tactless, as he is subconsciously oriented at vulnerable emotions and demonstrative pragmatism of Zhukov. - Stratiyevskaya
_______
The entire range of emotions and states of Esenin is not only his “artistic palette”, but also his “instrumental set” and his “weapons storehouse”. The IEI is confident in his charm and his appeal, in his “arsenal” of attractive and dear fronts, which he magnificently uses. Moreover, these are not just external appearances but unique states of his soul. - Stratiyevskaya
_______
If an impression forms that it is possible to take the female IEI directly by bare hands, in reality this is not so. The IEI female is not completely defenseless, she knows how to stand up for herself and achieve what she wants. - Beskova
_______
Sometimes they behave according to the principle “the worse it is, the better it is”, forcing themselves into dead end, hopeless situations, then complaining to others about the difficult fate that has befallen to them. They love to tell their friends how others have mistreated them. In reality, they are simply lacking in sufficiently strong, bright emotions and impressions in this monotonous daily life. Thus, they attempt to decorate their life with more emotions. - Beskova
_______
At work, IEI women like to socialize; therefore, their work will bring them more satisfaction if it is connected to people. If this work requires solitude and concentration, then it will brighten the IEI woman’s if she can interact with people around her. - Beskova
_______
Very much in need of praise and encouragement. Sensitive of criticism of his work or investing effort that has not been appreciated; this lowers his productivity. - Meged and Ovcharov
_______
Passionately tries to prove his correctness; accepts advice only after he has calmed down, and even then only until the next emotional outburst. - Meged and Ovcharov
_______
Nonchalant and imperturbable, but this is only a tactic that allows him to make a good impression. - Meged and Ovcharov
_______
Sensing danger, he transmits his apprehensive and restless mood to those around him. […] His composed serene state is transmitted onto others, allowing them to distance from their everyday worries and problems. - Meged and Ovcharov
_______
Ironic, crafty, unpredictable and inconsistent in behavior and conversation. - Meged and Ovcharov
_______
Unconstrained in conversation, occasionally even with shades of familiarity and impudence. Knows how to bridge the distance. - Meged and Ovcharov
_______
His movements, as a rule, are smooth, soft, languid or lazy, which on the whole creates an impression of complaisance and insufficient willpower. His gestures are elegant, light, and a bit theatrical. His gait may be directed and rapid, but light and unconstrained. - Meged and Ovcharov
_______
IEI’s behavior is typically undemonstrative and modest, sometimes timid and reticent. He can have unexpected changes in mood, then his behavior becomes unpredictable, or even indulgent. - Meged and Ovcharov
_______
At times he will mix up the sequence of steps in some production, other times he will misinform his visitors, and yet at other times he will forget some important information. - Stratiyevskaya
_______
To constantly force him to do work is also impossible. [...] Only Zhukov with its exceptional fitness for work and purposefulness can allow himself to relax slightly under IEI’s influence, as well as inspire the IEI to work in the most productive and optimal to the IEI regime. - Stratiyevskaya
_______
The IEI won’t allow anyone else to hide things from him, moreover, he prompts people naturally and without constraint. It is sufficient for him to want to know - and he will learn everything that is of interest to him. IEI’s curiosity knows no boundaries, and at times it’s not even bounded by decency. - Stratiyevskaya
_______
The IEI experiences difficulty with tracing the full sequential course of logical reasoning – it is hard for a person of this type to grasp an expanded and extensive logical analysis in its entirety. The IEI much readily receives and understands short purposeful logical statements provided by his dual, the SLE, who is capable of explaining the most difficult concepts in the most simple and easily accessible terms, and of finding the most convincing arguments and putting them in such order that would make them convincing to another person. Forms of explanations of other logical types don’t suit the IEI. **(With the exception being LII, though LII's explanations do not mobilize IEI.)** They seem either too needlessly entangled and complicated, or too removed and unrelated to the matter at hand (which greatly irritates him). - Stratiyevskaya
_______

As much as everyone loves making memes about it, I don’t think y’all actually realise its essence and importance. This goes beyond simply dismissing it as pseudoscience. We’re talking about deeply theorised patterns that we can observe in the world around us.
I don’t think people realise how new psychology is as a scientific discipline, nor how much of it is still theoretical. Empirically proving something is extremely difficult. It’s not like the natural sciences, where findings can often be measured and tested more directly. Human cognition is an incredibly complex and abstract subject, and I think people underestimate just how difficult it is to study.
Many of the theories we have within typology are structured remarkably well and come surprisingly close to reality in the patterns they attempt to explain. I genuinely think it’s a disgrace to use the word pseudoscience as though that alone invalidates everything being discussed, especially when some of these systems are so extensively theorised. A lot of what we know and believe about the world is based on theoretical frameworks, assumptions, and interpretations, yet typology is where people suddenly seem to draw the line.
Part of me wants to correct these misconceptions, but at the same time, so few people actually take this subject seriously, and there is a societal hierarchy we need to keep up with. People are quick to dismiss ideas that lack mainstream recognition without considering their actual substance.
Those who take this seriously and are willing to explore these systems will have an advantage over those who refuse to look beyond conventional perspectives. Those who prefer being anti-intellectual will remain where they are.
Do what you want with this information.

I've looked at other posts on this matter and I seriously just can't find what I'm looking for. So what I need is a link to a website that goes in depth into each type and actually helps me instead of just throwing a bunch of random fancy words at me.
