* Treehouse of Horror VI’ ~ ‘Homer³’ ~ in this segment, Homer and Bart enter a three-dimensional world. [With groundbreaking CGI by Pacific Data Images, the animation company that would later go on to do ‘ANTZ’, ‘Shrek’ and most of the DreamWorks CG animated movies.]

* The live-action "Erotic Cakes" scene from the Treehouse of Horror VI ("Homer³") episode of The Simpsons was filmed on Ventura Boulevard in Sherman Oaks, Los Angeles, California

Can you see this happening at your house?

Yall know that episode of the monorail in springfield? Kind of crazy but it seems to be another prophecy happening via simpsons as the CleanLane project in Lane County (literally springfields county in Oregon) is happening. Really scary how good they are at predicting this kind of thing. Unlike the episode (I hope) I havent seen any government corruption, but the idea of promising civic transformation with extravagant technological infrastructure (in this case the garbage sorting facility at Goshen), pouring money into the project, ambitious technological promise and then concern about the financial feasibility when the project encounters substantial obstacles (like Goshen’s zoning permits), and finally not delivering on the project yet is crazy similar to the episode as is in real life. Ill attach the youtube link in the comments. Go watch it, its crazy!

You must get loads of these, but I restarted from S1E1 and said I'd stop once I got a few episodes in a row that didn't raise a smile, and ask this.

The lolimsorandom spring break / alligator episode then the tapdancing one did it. I read E21 is worse.

We all know the best seasons, but my ultimate favourites are the first 2. So cosy and heartwarming. Every episode ended with my gf going "awww".

End of S8 was when I felt the drop, while S13 was when I quit as a teen (Marge's cringe 'worry dance' in Brazil).

But were any episodes in all the years after REALLY GOOD, clever and funny? Not just a strong plot or family-focused, or relatively good in a season of muck, but simply freaking funny?

Or was this the point of no return for that early season formula?

For me, I’d be stuck between Cape Feare or Homer’s Enemy

Im curious to know what your hot takes about the simpsons are, from mild to ones that would easily get you down voted on here.
