Help! Scorpion Bad Molt, Deformed Legs
Three legs of my 4i swammerdami got stuck when it molted, and is now deformed. Will these ever get better next molts or not? It's doing fine right now.

In the event that you, a loved one, or pet is stung by a scorpion, DO NOT seek medical or veterinary consultation on this subreddit. Seek emergency attention immediately or consult with a medical professional. Hobbyists are not medical experts or veterinary professionals and our advice will never replace those authorities.
Please do not solicit or give veterinary or medical advice on this subreddit at any time. Doing so will result in immediate infraction and removal.

Hi all! As many may have noticed, the subreddit has more than doubled in the last year, with a lot of growth in just the last couple months.
In order to participate in this subreddit- there is a requirement to both be kind to other members and to scorpions as a whole. Identification and help threads have recently had an uptick in "joke" identifications/advice that can be exceptionally risky when dealing with potentially medically significant animals. We have updated our rules to be more clear, we will be more focused on ensuring that folks remain civil and kind, and now, we are rolling out an advisory system.
We are currently rolling out the Qualified Advisor system. Qualified Advisors (QAs) are folks that have a solid handle on the hobby, and are focused on evidence based care and advisories. They will be responsible for giving critical and accurate advice within the "help" and "identification" flairs. There will be restrictions and guidelines for partaking in these flairs from hereon.
These responsibilities should also fall onto members partaking in animal care advice within this sub; because of that, we will be enforcing a disclaimer system for all non QAs. On every "help" and "identification" thread this will be explained, and is explained below.
If you wish to give advice or share information on this sub as a non QA, you will be required to preface your comments/advice in the "help" and "identification" flaired posts with a disclaimer; such as, "Not QA, NQA, IME (in my experience), IMO (in my opinion), I believe, Question, NA (not advice)". If you do not preface your commentary for these flairs, the comment will be deleted and you will be prompted to repost it with the appropriate preface. Posts related to medical or veterinary advice are not permitted and will be removed per this post.
If you have any questions about the new advisory system- please send us a modmail, do not use other unrelated posts as a platform for those concerns or questions. If you would like to apply for QA, feel free to reach out to us via modmail
EDIT: This is now fully live as of 7/11 on Help and Identification threads.

A scorpion I help care for at my work has white crust on his claws, I was wondering if it’s of any concern?

Got this little guy back in (I believe) Feb 2021, fully grown when I got him so I can only guess how old he actually is. For the last few weeks he’s been a lot more sluggish and not really going after his food, and I’ve noticed yesterday and today he’s been sitting out in the open rather than hiding. Guided a cricket towards him this morning and he gave up eating it partway through (picture from today). Assuming these are all old age signs, is there any way to tell how much longer he’ll have?
Heterometrus cyaneus if that’s relevant

I am a new scorpion owner and my emperor scorpion has dug a burrow that is about 12 inches long and 5 inches deep. How do I go about feeding him when he’s down at the bottom of this hole, I’ve been feeding him dubia roaches but I’ve been hand feeding him. When he is down there how to I make sure he’s not molting and the roaches don’t hurt him.

Made a new setup for my Asian forest working to set next to my desert scorpion. To complete the shelf, an exotera 12 / 12 / 12 is the enclosure i used

Arizona desert hairy 🦂:: I have a 10lb bag of excavating clay and 20lbs of sand for a 10 gallon tank. What’s the mixture ratios y’all would recommend and have success with for easy safe burrowing. And is water needed in the mix at all? Thanks 🙏

I was looking for an emperor scorpion. The exotic pet store by me listed this guy for $90 as an emperor but after bringing it home and taking it for a closer look, im not so sure its an emperor.

Not entirely sure which scorpion this is and would love help identifying it. Found near Phoenix, Az. Would love any advice on differentiating bark scorpions from stripe tailed scorpions. Ended up relocating it into the desert away from any homes. Thanks for taking a look!

Hello! I recently acquired a pair of Asian Forest scorpions and I'm trying to figure some stuff out. I initially only had the one: I went into a petshop to get crickets for my tarantula and saw the little pointy friend sitting in a dry zoo med container with no water and the saddest piece of cork you've ever seen with multiple crickets running around and from what I could tell I suspected they were dehydrated, so I took them home to try and get them healthy again.
They were making a fuckton of noise at night, clacking claws specifically. I did some reading/internet sleuthing and it seemed that he was looking for another scorpion. So I got another one. They have become fast friends. Each time I check on them they are somehow snuggled even closer. I'm maintaining humidity, they have plenty of hiding spots if they wabt to get away from each other, and I'm making sure they never run out of food.
My worry is molting. I've seen lots of people say they've had very successful communals. I've also seen lots of people warn about cannibalism, territorialism, and fighting. I want to make sure that once one molts, the other won't decide it's a free meal. Help?
Cricket and Obsidian <3
(P.S. please excuse the cardboard hide: i broke the one i had and didn't want to leave too much uncovered space. It seems to be their fave.)

Some workers and I moved around some old wood in a dirt field in Texas and this little guy was hobbling around… I think it might be injured.. so I decided to take it and buy an enclosure and cork wood and some feeder crickets.
I worried the little guy will croak. Does anyone know if they can heal or recover a leg or something if it’s injured?thanks

Last weekend when i got home i found my heterometrus spinifer molting but she wasn't quite finished and her one or two right legs were still inside the shed, I didn't panic or anything cause she molted before without issues and it looked fresh so i let her relax (i am abroad through week and spend time home Friday to Sunday), i came home today after a week, checked on her and she is moving normally but the old skin keeps following her and it looks like her one or two legs are still stuck inside of it? i cannot tell really but the old skin also started catching white mold. I tried to gently move the shed with a soft brush to see better or to make sure she isn't just tangled in it but not, she gets really defensive and doesn't like any disturbance. She does move normally with it, but the skin just keeps following her and she kinda does do a circular motion when walking, it surely does annoy her. I don't know if her leg or legs are still inside or no? I don't want to force anything and I am really being gentle. Any ideas? She is about to be 6 years old i think. The humidity is now 72, but i had her open for a while now, it usually holds at 76-78.
