Hey all, I just started getting into reggae early this year!

I had never really paid reggae much attention until I visited Jamaica on a cruise (cliche?).

Since then, I've grown an appreciation for the music, message, and culture!

I've put together a Spotify playlist with the stand out tracks I've heard thus far. It would be greatly appreciated if you guys could look over my playlist and provide any recommendations!

There are some artists/tracks that aren't purely reggae (Sublime, Slightly Stoopid, etc.). Please look past those and just let a white boy be a white boy! lol

Here's my playlist:

Thank you again, everyone!

A video submission I just uploaded to Instagram for a chance to open for artists Allen Stone and Teedra Moses. Thought I'd share with y'all here. A lil remix/cover of Blood Sweat and Tears. Hope y'all enjoy, had fun making it. Bless

Ez people!

Hey there, back in the 90s I bought a couple of jungle mixes from a tape stall on Venice Beach that mostly sold reggae and African tapes.

All I can remember is that the DJs name was DJ falou, and the one mix started with the "Blood clot Art Attack" remix (with the Martin Sheen sample from Apocalypse Now... "Everytime I think I am going to wake up back in the jungle").

It's a long shot, but wondering if anyone else has copies ...

Thanks 🙏

Whenever somebody says music shouldn’t be political my first thought are the extensive amount of Bob Marley songs. The song war is taken from a political speech.

The riddim is very familiar but can't remember what track i heard before on this riddim,

Any help much appreciated
