In my experience those cheaper UPS units do not provide enough power for a gaming PC

Batteries also go bad

Batteries only cost $50 a pop, and 2 years in my batteries are at 98% health.

It depends on what you need it for, if you just want to have time to shut down your PC during an outage it's perfectly fine. I have a gaming PC that was high-end a few years ago and my 1500VA APC is not struggling at all during any amount of usage.

It's not going to power you on a no-power gaming spree, but it will save your computer from a power outage during an update for instance.

when did you buy the UPS? because i can definitely tell you it's probably not as cheap as when you got it.

The 1300VA UPS I bought from Woot 4 years ago is $20 more expensive now.

The one I bought 2 years ago is the same price now as when I paid for it. $240. 1500VA, 1000 watts, 6 battery outlets, 6 standard surge protection outlets. Connects to my PC via usb. Y’all act like you’re buying a new GPU
