don't you think someone at Sony was likely to find it soon anyway?

Maybe, but the likely scenario with large companies with a bunch of big dev teams is if it isn't written as a ticket and assigned to an engineer, it doesn't get worked on. No one that does the work is actively looking for ways to do more work.

This opinion, and many in this thread, are fascinating. So many people confident that the world works the same as it did at their org, or does (for now). Like all the "tech debt" stuff is meaningless because AI exists. It does not build a debt with itself, it can't "forget" how something functions because it can use query recall to instantly find it again.

But yeah, this is one of those things that AI is going to change. No one is looking for more work, but ticketing is not the only system, and the system building and assigning the tickets is also going to be LLM driven. Brave new world coming, and this whole comment section is still arguing about the ashes of the old not having a place.

AI security audit is already a high priority working item for many large corps.
